Donald Trump on Media: “They’re Scum, They’re Horrible People”

Businessman Donald Trump torched the media today during his New Hampshire town hall event on The Today Show.

Trump on the media:

“The Des Moines Register is a terrible paper. No, it really is. A very liberal paper by the way. I believe I am winning in Iowa. By the way, there are other polls that say I am winning in Iowa by the way. This was two small polls. And all over the country I am winning by massive numbers. But, I will say I think I am winning in Iowa> I’m doing really well with Evangelicals, the Tea Party, everyone else… The media has a lower approval rating than Congress. And you’re right, they’re scum. They’re horrible people.”

Maybe he should wear a head to toe bulletproof outfit, with a slit for eyes and lips so he can talk and see.

I hope his bodyguards rock. And he should have secret service protection by now.

Trump is now too cartoonish in his attacks on the enemy. It’s past time to better describe the defects of the media.

And put people to sleep?

The short critique got right to the point.

Trump has already been there and done that. Time to include some facts for the logical thinkers in addition to becoming more specific for the emotional thinkers.

It seems “past time” to chill with the attacks on the media, but Trump is new to a lot of people.

The kids are back in school, football season is in, and all media is trained on the politics for 2016. People are starting to listen, and Trump is starting to move around regionally, so voters are tuning in for the first time.

Remember when we loved hearing his attitude, up front, and his cut to the dang chase phrasing? At least I did, so as he arrives on the scene, many are just now seeing more about that forceful and no-nonsense presence that deplores political correctness.

“Trump is now too cartoonish in his attacks on the enemy.”

In case you haven’t noticed, the media, especially the ones on national TV, exalt themselves as near perfect, if not perfect, in all their ways — honest, balanced, objective, knowledgeable, pure — when in reality they are the opposite. George Stephanopoulous is a prime example. Stephanopoulous is a weasel worm. Trump knows how to get the message across.

“Cartoonish?” I think the word you are looking for is effective.

That’s how Trump talks. Better to be himself and get to the point in his own “thuggish” way. He sounds like a street fighter when he talks and people lap it up.

“It’s past time to better describe the defects of the media.”

No it isn’t. This is exactly how Republicans need to treat the media, given their behavior. There is no civility possible with their treatment of all things not left-wing.

The media will recoil in horror at this. Anything less than this they look at as humorous.

The only thing I wish Trump would do more of is personalize it. Yep. More Megyn Kelly type press-bashing stuff.

“This is why you suck: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. If anyone listens to you they’ll be fed BS and lies, if I win the Presidency, you will never be allowed in the press pool, because you’re a liar.”

“It’s past time to better describe the defects of the media.”

Why? The low-lives who need to get this information aren’t listening to him much, anyhow. They’re watching American Idol, Ice Road Truckers, re-runs of In Living Color, etc. Do you really think they’d go 15 seconds of Trump calming “describing the defects” of media without turning the channel? The only thing that will get their attention is bombastic verbiage, even if it’s “cartoonish”. They need to be entertained, so let Donald entertain them.

"The media has a lower approval rating than Congress. And you’re right, they’re scum. They’re horrible people.”

And on Morning Joe, Trump was talking about a "highly, highly respected journalist" who said something nice about him. So I guess not all are scum or horrible people.

Why don’t you write an example of the kind of detail you would like Trump to describe and post it here?

Then tweet Trump a link to your post or I’ll do that for you.

Trump is winning because trump is boldly saying what the majority in this country believes. No one up until now (Except for Ronald Reagan) has had the balls to just come out and speak the truth.

If Donald continues in this practice, then he will be our next president. The majority of this country is sick to death of being lied to.
