Wealthy investors shot skeet with Sen. Ted Cruz in Park City, Utah, earlier this month. Conservative lawyers gathered in a clubby Washington restaurant last week to raise money for his presidential bid. And on Monday, billionaire technology entrepreneur Darwin Deason and five other wealthy Texans announced that they were coming aboard his campaign.
...Cruz raised $5.2 million through the end of September from supporters who gave him the $2,700 maximum making him No. 2 in the GOP race for large donors, after former Florida governor Jeb Bush, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Campaign Finance Institute.
Cruzs unorthodox campaign has hit on a fundraising formula that no other candidate has been able to match: raising millions from a robust base of grass-roots supporters while building a substantial network of rich backers...
Cruz has had trouble making inroads in New York financial circles or in Floridas donor-rich Gold Coast. But he is finding support among like-minded constitutionalists, religious conservatives, and oil and gas executives, campaign finance filings and fundraising invitations show.
A lot of Wall Street is out of touch with mainstream America, Cruzs wife, Heidi who is on leave from her job as a managing director at Goldman Sachs and is one of his most prolific fundraisers said recently. Thats not our funding base.
The senator is a different person in private fundraisers than out on the campaign trail, according to people who have observed the dynamic. He doesnt back away from his hard-line positions, but he quickly moves past them, trying to present a restrained, Harvard-educated lawyer.
People are swayed by his intellect, said Mica Mosbacher, a Houston fundraiser helping organize events for Cruz around the country. He always says,
This is why he went for TPP. I totally understand now. He sells out for money . Filthy lucar. Trump baby— doesn’t sell— HE BUYS!!
Bunch of filthy 1 percenters. /s
Those rich donors explain why Cruz is pushing for the cheap labor express in this video:

Too bad Cruz is not self financed, multi-Billionaire.
If he was, he would truly be pro-middle class, and pro-America.
What are TPA and TPP?
TPA stands for Trade Promotion Authority, also known as fast track. TPA is a process by which trade agreements are approved by Congress. Through TPA, Congress sets out up-front objectives for the Executive branch to achieve in free trade negotiations; in exchange for following those objectives, Congress agrees to hold an up-or-down vote on trade agreements without amendments. For the past 80 years, it has proven virtually impossible to negotiate free-trade agreements without the fast-track process.
TPP stands for Trans-Pacific Partnership. TPP is a specific trade agreement currently being negotiated by the United States and 11 other countries, including Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. China is not a negotiating partner. There is no final language on TPP because negotiations are still ongoing and have been since late 2009. Neither the Senate nor the House has voted yet on the TPP. There will be no vote on TPP until the negotiations are over and the final agreement is sent to Congress.

This is why he went for TPP
***************
He never “went for TPP” - please if you can’t control your negativism, please, at least, get your facts straight.
Disentrophy, you’re not really going to come here and embarrass yourself again- are you? Donald Trump isn’t controlled by money? Is that your argument????
Go Cruz!
Heidi Cruz is a true patriot, and will make an incredible first lady.
A network of wealthy OWNERS.
Bragging about Goldman Sachs ties and Wall Street may appeal to the donor class, but makes him another politician thru and thru.
Sorry Vin.
Without the 60 votes for TPA, there would BE NO TPP.
Your guy made it happen.
A network of wealthy OWNERS.

Yep, one of them was Trump.
Well...I guess Donald may be controlled somewhat on his finances by Melania. But Donald has no rich donors yanking on his chain AFAIK. I actually feel sorry for Ted Cruz. He must satisfy his rich donors. If Cruz was a multi-Billionaire self financed candidate, he would be far superior to Trump or any of the others running.
I am so sorry to bring up the issue of cheap foreign workers. But I must do it because I am pro-American middle class, and America First on issues.

Cruz did NOT vote for TPP. Get your facts straight.
So do you really think that Trump is pure? That he hasn’t engaged in a quid pro quo with politicians?
