You’re stuck on KELO.
I’ve given several reasons KELO is overshadowed by other, far more pressing current events.
If KELO is your watershed, Trump isn’t your guy, cuz he is going to focus on a lot things, but I seriously doubt that KELO is even on his radar.
Also if the people don’t want Kelo and want a clarifying amendment to the constitution, for all practical purposes it wouldn’t make a difference, on the way to doing that, WHO is president — except that a successful GOP candidate is likely to have more favorable Congressional coattails to that end, than a Democrat one.
Gotta love your Trump talking points, darlin’.
But my main point is that after Trump tried to take the widow’s home awary from her for his parking lot next to his Atlantic City business, Atlantic City businesses go bankrupt.
Jeb Bush is, and HAS ALWAYS BEEN, at the bottom of my list along with Donald Trump, Rand Paul (the isolationist), Christie and Grahamnesty.
Jeb Bush is not doing so well, so I don’t think he would be at the top, especially since he has no personality.
I never called Trump a dictator, you did. I called him a control freak. Here’s what I said:
“....I think Trump would be a control freak, although not nearly as bad as Hillary, of course.
When Trump considered running in the NY State gubernatorial race, he said he would not run if the GOP held primaries. As a NY State resident, I deeply resented that, especially since that is why I joined the Republican Party. I wanted to vote in the primaries. ..”
What I’m “stuck on” is the Constitution, including the Fifth Amendment.
Trump does not have the love of the Constitution that most conservatives have.
P.S. Trump has been trying to take our citizens’ land from them before Kelo.
He just doesn’t care that “public use” is different from private use, and again, that was BEFORE the liberal justices voted for eminent domain.
I don’t necessarily disagree with what you’ve pointed out.
However, in light of The Invasion, and the fierce fight of the entrenched GOPe who are championing it and other anti-American positions, those things you are pointing out pale in comparison.
That’s something I’ve brought up before, but you haven’t addressed that issue.
I don’t like the GOPe either - they didn’t even like Reagan, and a large part of the GOPe are the Bush family.
It’s just that we’ve been so excited about conadidates winning before, including Tea Party candidates, and then SOME of them disappoint us, big time and numerous times.
This time I’d like to see a pro-life, conservative candidate with a proven track record - not perfect, but excellent.
Romney changed his mind on many issues JUST IN TIME for the GOP primaries, and that’s what Trump has done, so I’m skeptical.
