Nonsense. She was an ordinary-looking young woman who looked more like Sonny than like Cher. Unfortunately, she grew up during a period of awful fashion, but if the Chastity of the mid-80s (this photo is 1983) walked out today in jeans and a t-shirt, she'd be completely unremarkable. (Except, perhaps, for the gloomy expression observable in most of the pictures. This is one of the most cheerful views, but her eyes are still frowning.)

The photo history was quite interesting. She did not begin gaining weight drastically until Sonny’s death, and then she began presenting herself in a masculine way over the next several years, from about 2002 on.
I liked men a lot better before Free Republic.

It is awful. Hippy Dippy liberal mother Cher cared more about her career and "tolerance" (Cher knew the woman was a Lesbian when she left her daughter with her.) than about her own child.
It appears she will never have grandchildren from Chastity. Thus does nature punish stupid decisions.

Agree 100%. Leaving aside the Hollywood/Celebrity types, the one trans I know personally is the daughter of the neighborhood “Cher,” obsessed with how she appears 24/7. Too busy nurturing her own ego to take care of her child. In today’s culture, turning transy seems to be the solution for the kids.

According to "Chaz" she came out as a lesbian to Sonny long before his death.
Sonny, the "intolerant republican" was cool with that. Cher, the "tolerant liberal" however, was NOT.
I can only imagine that Sonny, if he were alive today would probably be OK with Chaz and her decision.
I don't believe for a second that Cher is thrilled in the least.
But she still hates republicans.
