Yeah. Sure.
Let’s face it - Ben Carson is 100% beta male.
He’d make a great Surgeon General, however.
Looked at another way, 70% don't want Carson, either. Or, 95% don't want Cruz. Or whatever.
I agree. I have no problem with Carson as the Surgeon General.
Me neither. I actually think he’d be a perfect fit. He’s just not good Presidential material - he’s not a leader, he’s not bold or aggressive, he’s not entirely trustworthy on guns or on immigration.
That’s my take as well.
All true, but when the other 70% works its way to other candidates you have to believe that the most obnoxious candidate, the least conservative one based on actual public service, and the most silly (constant twitter fights, e.g.) is where those votes will go. I don’t see it. I see Trump losing, getting mad, and then pulling a Perot. He’ll say he was cheated.
See what you think of this reply: Carson

All well said
I feel roughly precisely the same
Thank you WarDaddy. I’m glad we could agree on this.
I do appreciate the reading materials. I will be looking up the information. Thank you.
I had relatives from Iowa. They made salad from lime jello, grated carrots, and marshmallows. They thought pizza was weird though.
These would tend to be my take as well. Trump could stand to be a little more ideologically “pure” - but then again, the places where he’s “impure” are ones in which he would have little opportunity to act as President anywise, whereas the places where he IS spot on are things like illegal immigration, jobs, dealing with radical Islam, etc. that are VERY important.
In other words, despite what some on here want to think, his negative points are kind of ho-hum, while his positive points are very important.
As a Missourian born and bred, I probably shouldn’t tell you what Iowa stands for.
Thats an interesting point. Thanks for making it.
It is another weird State that the GOP picked to be first in the primaries that doesn't represent the GOP nationally, like NH.
Now, we know why the Iowa Corn Whores faux conservatives for ethanol favor Carson:

Carson being in favor of burning food is very bad. Ethanol is ruining my 1980’s vintage John Deere tractors. At 10% it turns fuel lines into goo. At 15% it will ruin engines.
I doubt you eat field corn. They feed the expended mash to livestock, it's better for them than the unprocessed corn.

No it isn't. Don't leave fuel in the vented tanks.
At 10% it turns fuel lines into goo.
Rubber maybe. Use neoprene fuel line from this century, or steel line.
At 15% it will ruin engines.
Funny you say that, since it's not true. Of all the things that go wrong with power equipment machinery up here, ruined engines is not one of them....unless they run them out of oil.
Having said that, ethanol in fuel is not a good idea, especially in a humid climate. It takes more energy to produce than it yields, and is not market viable without the taxpayer subsidy.
Give me straight gasoline.
