H-1B ping. Let me know if you're not on the list and want to be added (or are and want to be removed).

Employers like cheap labor, no surprise there.

Sessions is a leading advocate for immigration policy that puts American workers first, and Cruz is an H-1B proponent who has worked to dramatically expand the program in the past.

Hopefully this will propel Cruz to change his position on increasing H-1B visas. There are already laws in place to prevent the abuses we see today and those laws are ignored and not enforced.

I’m willing to bet that there aren’t a half dozen positions in the whole country that can’t be filled by Americans.

However, if you make welfare sufficiently lucrative, they might just go on welfare and get their cash from the off-books economy.

“Nelson asked the Department of Labor to investigate the Disney layoffs, Sessions is a leading advocate for immigration policy that puts American workers first, and Cruz is an H-1B proponent who has worked to dramatically expand the program in the past.”

what is Bill Nelson’s stance on illegal immigration?

Myth #5: This IT work is "temporary," and therefore fillable with people who hold temporary work visas.

How did work that was previously being done by permanent career employees suddenly become temporary work? How long is "temporary?" Will these H-1B temporary visa holders still be doing this work in one year, two years, five years from now?

This will last at Disney until things start to collapse. The Asians can punch a lot of code but their code is never wrong in their eyes so it never needs to be fixed. If something stops working, it is not their code that did it. You have to bring in someone to fix without their knowledge.

This exact same thing is happening at my corporation. Obviously I fear retribution mentioning the name, but I can say, it is a fortune 500 tech company.

The amount of Indian H1B workers has exploded in the last 5 years. I personally know Americans who were perfectly qualified, 10 to 20 years of service laid off. A week or so later, an Indian H1B worker populates their cube.

This is insane! Millions of Americans cannot gain employment in their respective fields because they are being passed over in favor of H1B’s.

I remember once upon a time in America, our leaders at least pretended to protect American workers/American industry/manufacturing.

I'm not a big Trump fan mostly because of his mannerisms, personality...I find him obnoxious and an ego maniac, but I'm completely on board with his proposals for protecting America/Americans.

...require that U.S. IT workers have the ability to work well with foreign offshore and onshore groups.”

Bean counters think this works but my experience was that it didn't really work very well.

I believe that we need a foreign worker program but we need to make it costly for companies that chose to take advantage of it. We don’t want the abuses that we see Disney and other companies doing. The way to do this is to make them pay a tax on the workers in the program.

Nellie won’t care. The two-faced Richard (can I call you Dick, Dick?) makes commercials promoting STEM while at the same time votes to open the H-1b floodgates. Where do you propose those grads work, Dick?

And you don’t care about the 50+ year olds who have given up looking for work and are eating up their retirement savings, do you? More destitute seniors, forced to be gimmiedats and vote RAT in self-preservation must be your plan.

The H1-B visa ties the foreign worker to a specific company. This is by contrast with a Green Card that allows the foreign worker to work for anyone. Abolish H-1B, issue only Green Cards. This will allow the foreign worker to leave for better pay, instead of being an "indentured servant" to the company for which he got an H-1B visa. Once companies have to compete to retain foreign workers, those workers become a lot less attractive.

The one truth of H1B technical jobs is that it basically froze our salaries in the 1990s.

Before that, our salaries were increasing at the rate of executive positions. After the H1B scam and outsourcing, executive salaries skyrocketed, and ours froze.

We could have gotten the workers that are needed and still had modest salary growth. The golf club guys wanted more in their accounts, so they bought politicians to help get it done.

Perfect example; Zuckenburg

I think it was the H1B and the TPP that stopped Cruz in his tracks a couple of months ago.

There is dignity in work, and in providing for you and yours. Americans want to work.

There is no dignity in handouts.

Washington doesn’t understand how many Americans are desperate to work.

I think we’re being lied to about how many H1-B workers are coming into the nation.

It’s all out war on the U. S. Citizen workforce.
