My bugaboo is the Politically Correct nonsense that has infected our language. “Reign”, is not a problem. As another poster said, Rush uses “regime”.

I don’t care for his use of the word “reign” to describe a president’s term in office - he’s used it more than once. I’d like to hear his thinking on it.

More than that though, when discussing how Bernie Sanders is going to be giving so much free stuff, he said of Hillary “I know that’s not her belief”...

That comment got my attention. How does he know that? Why would he appear to ask us not to believe it? Wasn’t it Hillary who just called for free community college?

Rush uses "regime" the way he uses Clinton Crime Family, pointing out a deeper truth. And in that he is correct. Rush would never refer to the Eisenhower "regime" in the same way that Trump uses the phrase "Eisenhower's reign".

The question DOES deserve to be asked, though someone ought to put it right to Trump. Like: “You’ve been talking about the ‘reign’ of presidents far back in the 1900. Is reigning like a king the idea you have of the duties of a President?”
