Christ is our blessed hope.
I'll put this in 5 font for you:
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."
Titus 2:13
I can tell it is not your hope, but I urge you to make it so.
God an assurance, and He gave us prophecy to prepare us. 25% of the Bible is prophecy.
Christ told us to watch for the signs, and the signs of His coming.
I live my life, I enjoy things, I love my family. I work hard.
But any Christian must also know that God has a mission for us. We are to occupy until He comes, and we are to be about our Father's business, as Christ was.
The world is descending into chaos. God is lighting a lantern, and calling us all.
Is is not a spirit of fear, but a spirit of hope.
Very correct.
In fact, I myself was wondering if there has been a delay in judgment, and last month, I found in my heart that I could feel like Jonah if God delayed. God chastised Jonah, because Jonah wanted (I believe) judgment to come upon Nineveh.
God may indeed give the world more time. We do not know the day or the hour.
He’s lowering the shields!
If it is not, it is very close.
BkMk for later.
By approaching at a 90 degree angle to the combined enemy fleets, Nelson's flag ship HMS Victory and his fleet was pummeled by the French and Spanish for 15 minutes before they were able to engage their own broadsides. Then, they split the enemy fleet into 3 parts, and cut it to ribbons.
The bravery of these men was unbelievable. There was no place to hide on these oak floating behemoths. The carnage was horrific.
Good points.
Yes on the Tribulation. And remember what our Lord said about death:
Luke 12- 4: And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
It will happen. Missiles are landing not on their intended targets. The Russians fire their missiles and we hit them with microwaves. It is a game out of control.
I am scared of a painful ending also :)
I think I just say that to make myself believe that.
Though sometimes with the suffering I’ve endured, 20 minutes of terror and pain to get to Heaven seems easily worth it.
I am sorry you have known and seen suffering also.
one day it will be gone.
I try to enjoy life as much as possible but I do find it hard sometimes.
The rabbi has a problem first off Magog happens after the Psalm 83 Conflict and in the 2nd place magog happens after the rapture of the church.
bump to the top for Joanne lurking in SD, CA. Hey you! This is the article I wanted you to see.
Read Ezekiel 39 in the 1936 Lamsa translation.
Your map is interesting - Notice that all the countries directly touching Israel are not involved... For that reason, I adhere to the idea that there is a distinction between the Magog war and the Ps 83 war, and that the Ps 83 war (which explicitly engages all those near countries not mentioned in the Magog war) necessarily predates the Magog war, mainly for the cause that, in order for those near countries to be non-participatory in the Magog war, they would almost certainly already be absent.
Whether Damascus falls in whichever/either is not an indicator, because it could easily fall in either one, albeit that I believe it to fall during the Ps 83 war.
And the portents leading toward Ps 83 have been signaled since Israel became re-established, with every one of those countries mentioned therein having a deep and profound racial hatred of Judah - Those same being explicitly mentioned in the passage.
It would follow that greater Islam, with the Magog countries all in tow, would come against Israel to take back the lands conquered in the Ps 83 war, which basically would expand Israel, for the first time, to the lands promised to Abraham...
That defeat (Magog), with Islam nearly annihilated, is what ‘dries up the Euphrates’, making way for the kings of the East... And Armageddon. There are still many years at play, though in the short term... I am 53, and if I do not see Messiah coming in glory with these very eyes of mine, I am certain that my children will.

I agree. Bill Salus wrote a great book on that very theory and subject. His analysis is pretty sound.
Again, may God bless you. I gather from your posts that the pain must be almost insufferable at times for you. I will pray for you.
I realize this is not a valid comparison to yours, but I mention it only because of my thoughts at the time. I had food poisoning recently, and it was pretty awful. I remember, thinking at the time, that I actually would prefer death than have this go on for any length of time.
There is spiritual suffering as well. I have known distance from God because of my own sin, and that has been a different (but very real) type of suffering. But praise God, He is the eternal healer, and hope.
There are two different ones. The descriptions are different. You are correct in the degree that the 2nd one occurs after the Millennial Reign.
It would be a long one. Sometimes G-d takes time to act, but act he always does.
