SEN. TED CRUZ: You ask what should we be doing? We should stop engaging in the fiction in trying to find these moderate rebels and support them. We should stop the fiction of trying to bring together the Sunnis and the Shias to put down their arms and embrace like brothers. Instead, we should defend U.S. national security interests and do what works to defeat ISIS.

That’s what is so funny about His Arrogance and his gang of fools whining about the Russians going after the “moderate rebels” ... the Pentagon and the White House admitted that there were only 4 of them because the rest of them ran away or jointed the other groups. I’m sure the Russians nailed those 4 on the first day so all the rest could only be “non-moderates”.

I agree with the statement on the post. After listening, I do not agree with him entirely. He is exaggerating his case against Putin thereby invalidating it. Maybe he feels he must, but I find it unfair. Overall I love Cruz. I just think that is not helpful. He claims to know motives he cannot possibly know. I believe he believes it. I just think it is a rush to judgment that is not helpful If you make someone your enemy, they will act like it. But most of his position on Syria is good.
I like Cruz better than Trump, but I think Trump actually is better on this issue.

Except that the USA is not trying to do that. The Russians are. Only traitors would complain about efforts to destabilize the enemy. The enemy should be destabilized.

I believe there are millions of moderate muslims. That is people who are born into Islam but not particularly religious. They just want to live normal lives and be left alone. It’s not like they can quit being muslim, at least if they live in a muslim country. In short, they are “bad muslims”.
There is however no such thing as moderate Islam. And nobody converts to Islam for good reasons.

There are no moderate muslims. The moderates are considered apostates and culled from the herd.
Islam is not a religion, it is a totalitatian system, one that will not tolerate ANY dissent. Think marxism on steroids, the “borg” from Star Trek, or the necromongers from Riddick. “Convert or be killed”. That is all they know.
