Then again maybe not...but I see her point.
There is a huge effort underway to stop anyone from saying that people should fight back against a mass murderer. People have no idea how crazy leftists are or how far they are willing to pervert society and get people killed.
Of course you should fight back. I have a friend who teaches a course on exactly what to do, and he says you need to act quickly and every second lost is a life.
He says the kids at Virginia Tech sat in their seats as the students in front of them were shot one after the other. Tragic.

You should learn the history of the Warsaw (Jewish) Ghetto in WWII and learn what a few dedicated men and women with a very few rifles and pistols were able to do.
You should read Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago. In particular, I offer this quote:

You should spend some time on Rummel’s Democide site to understand just how dangerous governments can be, and in particular 20th Century governments. So not that long ago.

There are good reasons educated American own firearms, and will. Period.
If you read about it, the vast majority of Jews were non-violent and pacifist. It was these facts, them being passive, that made it so easy to round them up etc. The majority didn’t even fist-fight, they just did what they were told.
There’s many books written by academics that bear this out.
Only a portion of Jews were what one would call militant in todays term ie. willing to use violent.
If Jews had been a well armed minority, it’s hard to know what would have happened when the stuff hit the fan. After all Nazis were a minority until they seized absolute power. They used violent tactics. Hard to say the outcome if they had met with a well armed opposition in the streets.
And after the Nazis took power, you might well have had an armed uprising within Germany. Aren’t we all proud of the Warsaw Uprising?
While I’m not an expert my understanding is German Jews took the exact opposite approach until it was too late to do anything but hide.
I’m not saying that America should be dis-armed. I’ve made previous posts supporting gun ownership.

Carson didn’t say “all would be OK,” he theorized the slaughter might’ve been greatly diminished. Huge difference there.
And he’s dead-on right, because we’ve seen the results of their being disarmed.

Another bit of education for you - look into what chaos two armed men, John Muhammad and Lee Malvo, caused in the DC area until caught. Now multiply that by a few millions.

I never said anything of the sort. I said Carson’s analogy is illogical, there’s no comparison at all with the events of WWII and school shootings.
Perhaps if schools all had proper armed security guards and the teachers could keep a gun in the desk or wherever, classroom massacres could be averted.
