I truly feel sorry for young people now...have to agree, sadly - sounds as though we're about the same generation - we were lucky to have come of age during a period of prosperity, strength, and optimism in this country that helped make it the greatest nation that had ever been - before the government got involved in practically every phase of life and the economy, before the "social revolution" of the 60's trashed the culture and practically destroyed morality, before people started choosing leaders based on their entertainment value and not their ability and merit - such times as we had are probably gone forever, and the country is all the poorer for it.....

Frankly, I wish they would stop “getting things done” and get things undone, like the deficit, debt, all social programs, withholding, anything that the states should be handling. etc., etc. etc.

A few years ago I thought we could do this but after the election of 2012, no way. They are going to expand the social programs. I have a bad feeling for 2016 election. Of course the Republicans look like idiots right now. The candidates especially. Some of the things they are saying may be true but goodness can’t they say them in another way?

If you are talking about Bush, Kasich, Christi, Paul, Graham, and Pataki, I understand. Trump, Carson, Fiorina, and Rubio have had minor gaffs as well, and Huckabee, Santorum, Jindal, have done even less harm to themselves the the others (though how noticeable can they be at under 3% in the polls); but what has Ted Cruz stated that you think has harmed himself?

I can think of MAYBE one thing Ted Cruz stated that was twisted by the drive-by's. And any of the Republican candidates, even last place Pataki, could neat Hillary since she has done more harm to herself than any candidate has - DemoRAT or republican.

Hasn’t been a budget in 7 years so that story is untrue.

With 94 million people out of work how has revenue gone up?

Said another way, the budget deficit is $435 billion atop of the trillions we already owe and if interest rates tic up all revenues will go towards paying the Fing interest.
