When one is part of the “media”, old school or new and alternative, they need to be careful to vet stories and sources.
I recall one time reading a story after Eric Holder left, or was leaving, about him going to work at Goldman Sachs or Lehman Brothers or one of those types of organizations. The article looked “okay” and I was going to post it somewhere until I read the quote from one of the guys who spoke of some of the real screwed up things their group did to cause the economic meltdown in 2008. I thought, “this doesn’t sound right.” A web search confirmed that yep, the web site I was dealing with was a satire site.
Simply wanting something to be true or imagining it can be true doesn’t cut it if you’re going to have a news type blog. You have to be sure. If you’re not, either don’t post it or post it with a disclaimer.

Yes, someone frmailed that it is from a spoof site. I asked it be pulled, but thus far, it’s still here. Not removing this thread reflects badly on FR since most FReepers strive for accuracy.
We need him censured....
And then we need him impeached for Treason and for acting against our Constitution that he took an oath of office to protect America...

Here is whats behind this, its not the naming of, its the ethnicity he’s concerned with. You will here there was a murder or murders by a man and nothing more
Twist this just a touch and perhaps it has merit.
If instant fame is the real goal, as many professionals suggest, then perhaps some form of incentive should be offered to media outlets to not promote via name disclosure. Do not take away the right to free speech, just make it more lucrative to not use the perps name. If no fame is given, then by following the professional reasoning as to why, this type of crime will cease to exist. And if, for some obscure unseen reason these types of massacres still occur, perhaps the news outlets will begin to report the true reasons behind such occurrences.
My contention has always been:
A toxicology must be performed on all shooters,and the results should be made public. !!!
Is this kind of like Obama telling the news media, “I can’t make you say this, but tell us every time there is a shooting, how many mass shootings there are every time you report it”....and they do it....even Faux news.
