Disney Boomer Channel

Now, THAT is a GREAT idea!!

Bob Igner probably won’t do it, though...doesn’t want anyone to see the wholesome side of Disney of yesteryear :(

64 here. Old Yeller is the first movie I ever cried at. Don’t think I could watch it today without tearing up.

Now the Disney channel is just filth.

We won’t be having it in our house.

I keep saying they need a Retro Disney channel. I would love to have them air the old movies and shows.

About the only recent show I liked was Phineas and Ferb and now that is done.

I loved Old Yeller but I can’t watch it again or any movie that I know the dog dies.

Moochie in Corky and White Shadow? Nope..(I have this series - the first mini series featured on The Mickey Mouse Club in 1956), recorded from the Disney Channel in the ‘80’s)..Darlene Gillespie (one of the very talented Mouseketeers) was in Corky..and Buddy Ebsen as well..but, no; sorry, not Kevin Corcoran.. (although he WAS in THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF SPIN AND MARTY, with Darlene Gillespie, Annette Funicello,Tim Considine, and David Stollery, and many other Disney productions in the late ‘50’s.)

One of my most cherished VCR recordings from the Disney Channel is Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy.

>Old Yeller. Toughest movie for me to watch. I love labs.<

Except for the fact that Yeller was a Black Mouth Cur, not a lab.

What a great trip down Disney film memory lane! Thanks for providing the link.

I wish someone would make films like this today, but I doubt they’d be commercial successes. We no longer possess the attention spans needed.

You’re welcome. You’re probably right about these types of films not being commercial successes these days. But I do know people are craving a break from all the “noise”.
