As far as the left is concerned, Americans cannot
be trusted with lead delivery systems.

Yeah, that’ll work out just fine.

But, but they said they only want “common sense” gun control measures to keep them out of the hands of criminals. Looks like someone let the cat out if the bag.

They forgot step 5.1 and 5.2.

5.1 Hire and train a lot more federal agents to replace the ones killed and wounded by citizens having their private property seized and the ones who quit rather than violate the citizens 4th, 5th and 10th amendment rights.

5.2 Repeat steps 5 and 5.1 until nobody wants to work as a federal agent seizing citizens private property.

I took that article to be tongue in cheek to show how difficult it would be to completely remove guns from American life.

I don’t think even hard-core Progessives are stupid enough to think they could accomplish those steps. That doesn’t mean they might not try to go straight to step 5, though, in which case, they’d better have good body armor and spend most of their time in underground bunkers.

The steps might be “easy”, but nobody said they would be either simple or achievable.

The 12 Labors of Hercules wold be far more easy in comparison.

Hercules ended up taking advantage of certain inherent inadequacies of the opponents he faced in these labors to eventually achieve victory.

The gun grabbers have nowhere near the tenacity or adaptability of Hercules, nor do they have any source they would accept to give them advice on how it may be done.

Sure, you can take the guns away from some percentage of Americans, but the task grows so much more progressively difficult, it shall never go below a certain point, and that point would only be a rally to reverse the confiscation.

Result - an array of even more diverse weaponry to overthrow tyranny.

"You'll need the police, the FBI, the ATF or the National Guard—all known for their nuanced approach to potentially dangerous situations—to go door-to-door, through 3.8 million square miles of this country and take guns, by force, from thousands, if not, millions of well-armed individuals. Many of whom would rather start a civil war than acquiesce."

Yeah buddy...

That fits right in with the plan for Texas to secede.

Disarming law abding citizens will be a piece of cake.

Disarming criminals on the other hand.....

Step 1. Zero by executive order bans private ownership of firearms

2. Zero employees UN troops to enforce said executive order

3. UN troops become legitimate targets as they are in fact an invading army

4. All those supporting said UN troops are hunted down as the traitors they would be should anyone try to enforce Zero's illegal order.

5. Many lamp posts are decorated with said traitors ... ALL the way to the top

"...At what exact point, then, should one resist the communists?..." "How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: what would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good‑bye to his family? "Or if during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang on the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand...the Organs (police) would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers...and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt." Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Gulag Archipelago

Solzhenitsyn’s wisdom may be updated by simply substituting “tyrants” for “communists” (but they’re synonyms, aren’t they?). And be warned that they are EVERYWHERE. Get my drift?

Might want to save this one until obozo and his mendacious myrmidons are gone as it will be needed again as a reminder.

A bunch of states will secede before they would allow this to happen - some governors and state pols care about their citizens.

I know a few people who believe is is possible to do all 5 steps. They also think gin owners would fully comply and just had said gun over to the agent who knocks on their door.

How to speak Activist:

What they say: "We just want Common Sense Gun Control!"

What it means: "Our plan is unconstitutional, will cause the problem to get worse and is completely impossible to implement BUT if you oppose us we will call you crazy."

So did I ... parts of it were downright humorous. I don't see how anybody could have missed the sarcasm in it ... well, I guess it didn't have a "/s" at the end, so that may have thrown some people.

I think our Dear Leader should personally go door to door in Chicago and pick up all the guns there first.
