I know lots of black folk that are devout Christians and are disgusted by homosexual lifestyle.
There is a subset of black folks called the-name-we-are-not-supposed-to-say.
There is a difference between these people and honest hardworking black folk.
I have friends, black - so religious that they have their own little storefront ministry - and yet when the lure of black solidarity was there - they grabbed it. Now, I’m not sure they voted for him a second time but I wouldn’t doubt it.
They still vote 90+% for Democrats, so I’m guessing that many “devout” blacks hear Rev. Wright-type sermons.
