Bush: Trump is Evolving his Views Toward the Right Place

Jeb Bush said he thinks he would vote for Donald Trump if his Republican rival for the presidency becomes the GOP nominee, even though he says the real estate mogul once held views that "clearly put him right in the middle of the Democratic Party."

...

"I’m a conservative, I know Hillary isn’t. That’s one thing we know for sure. It’s not to say that she’s not capable of being president, but I think her world view is not the right one. And Trump’s views are evolving, at least, towards the right place," he said, remarking that Trump has had "views in the past that clearly put him right in the middle of the Democratic Party and now he’s transforming himself into something different."

Sounds like Jeb might endorse Trump to get back at Rubio for stabbing him in the back.

Bush: "I’m a conservative, I know Hillary isn’t."

Jeb’s looking for an ambassador post.”

I think that would be great. In true Trump style, I would think that the Donald would appoint him to one in an Asian country. LOL.

My thoughts exactly!

A Trump/Bush ticket doesn’t sound too bad if it can wrap up this nomination contest and unify the party.

Reagan had to pick Bush as VP to get establishment support. Jeb might want to follow the same path as his dad.

I think that Trump has the capacity to change his views. As tonight’s thread shows, he needs to change his views on the use of eminent domain to benefit people like casino developers. There just isn’t any defense to that. I hope he can see that because if he can’t, he’s going to hear about that from now until the end of time. It’s just obviously a crappy policy.

The biggest mistake Reagan made was Bush...Tossed the Reagan agenda the first day... He needs someone to carry on if he is successful...

A former Mitt Romney advisor by the name of Stuart Stevens said tonight on Anderson Blooper that Trump, Carson or Fiorina WILL NEVER GET THE GOP NOMINATION. He basically laughed at Trump, saying Trump is not a serious candidate and if he had to spend his own money like a normal candidate he would have already gotten out. I guess he thinks Trump is a pauper. AnywY this rocket scientist said no outsider will win one of the first four states. He when someone goes in to vote they will not vote for Trump because he has no credibility and no one can see him as president. He goes on to say that a candidate who has already been elected to office will be the eventual nominee. Look for Trump to bombard this idiot with a dozen or so tweets tonight. A couple of weeks ago Newt Gingrich was interviewed and when asked the same question, if Trump could win, or one of the other outsiders, he said hell yes! Newt goes on to say that this is the year of the outsider and people are fed up with the Washington establishment. I agree with Newt.

Au contraire. The last time we had a Bush as VP, the President got shot and was nearly killed less than 90 days into his term.

And the Bush and Hinckley families were the closest of friends.

Coincidence I'm sure.

No. Yeb is trying to taint Trump by pretending they are not that far apart.

He’s already an ambassador to Mexico, he just doesn’t have the title or portfolio.

Also Yeb’s whole “he is evolving nicely” is patronizing and insulting.

Yeb is drek. Nothing good will come from him.
