This has nothing to do with how right or wrong he is on the issues. It has nothing to do with how much of a landslide he could conceivably win. It has nothing to do with testing the breadth and width of such a landslide would have down ballot elections.
It has everything to do with them being able to buy, control and puppeteer a/the President.
If the king makers can’t make the king, control the king and tell the people with the purses funding them they are in control of the king a popular and effective king is of no use to them.

Personally, I think they are well on their way to plan Q because even P is now failing with the newly found morsel that Fiorina’s charity gave 500K to Planned Parenthood since 2011.
What I think most missed is that any one of the establishment pukes is OK with them, but the real desperation to take out Trump lies in what he will have for coat tails in the down ballots. As he retains his lead, others will see this and use a model that Dave Brat used to oust Eric Cantor. They to will ride the wave and file as primary contenders to the long standing establishment GOPe Reps and Senators.
Long ball here folks. There are also 34 Senate and 435 House seats on the same ballot across the country. Just winning 25% of the establishment seats to Trump minded insurgents totally changes the entire landscape, not to mention the mandate.
