The first rule of damage control is get all the facts out there right away. It’s much more damaging to let them drip out one at a time. (This can’t be done by Hillary regarding the email server as every bit of that was criminal.)
The question is, did the people who called in the strike do so for political or religious reasons rather than military? I suspect that’s the case and the reason for reticence as it would mean we simply can’t trust our allies. It would bring up questions like, what are we doing there?

That is no excuse at all. The Afghan Government calls in a strike on a hospital and we just do it?? You have to be kidding me!! Do we have so little info that we rely on the Afghans for intelligence? Unbelievable.
