Sorry about the crack about Queens. It’s a throwback to my childhood, when Queens really was an armpit. The 1939 World’s Fair site somehow redeemed that Godforsaken borough.
It was said that on the dump where the fairgrounds were built, the rats were bigger than dogs, and the stench blew over to Connecticut on a warm summer’s evening.
I am very very old, and I remember when Queens was the pits.

I have Puerto Rican, Lebanese, Haitian, Mexican and other “brown” relatives whose ancestors have been US citizens since before my own people came over from Ireland in 1888.
The Trump folks are extremely narrow-minded if they think all the “brown” people just suddenly sprang up here in the past 8 years.
