Valparaíso (Chile) (AFP) - US Secretary of State John Kerry warned Monday that a Russian warplane's "incursion" into the air space of Washington's NATO ally Turkey risked provoking a serious escalation.

"We're greatly concerned about it because it is precisely the kind of thing that had Turkey responded under its rights could have resulted in a shoot-down," he said, at a public event in Chile.

As I said last week, Russia’s long term strategic goal is to retake Constantinople from the Turks.

What we have to ask as a nation is if we will risk nuclear war to stop them

With USAF aircraft based in Turkey I'm surprised Obama didn't scramble one our tanker aircraft to offer aerial refueling to the Russian jet.

The Russians aren’t the ones bombing the Kurds. And they aren’t the ones training and equipping terrorists in Syria, either.

How about the incursions of ISIS fighters into Turkey for safe haven?

I’m not sure if I agree with you, but so far you are the only person who has even mentioned the history between the Russians and the Turks. Like I said on a previous post, Russia didn’t have MiGs and T-90s at Sevastapol back in the day. They have them now and the Turks are taking notice. it could get ugly fast, but my money is on the MiGs, Su’s etc.

“Russia’s long term strategic goal is to retake Constantinople from the Turks.”

You can bet that if the Russians are even considering it, they know it has to be done in the next 15 months.

China also knows the timetable for their expansionism they have planned for the SCS.

The only planes risking destruction would be Air Force One, and whatever Ketchup Face is flying on.

Turks wouldn’t dare fire on a Russian aircraft.

I have a feeling that if the Russians are shot at, they will shoot back.

That has happened throughout history. A Nation gets in trouble internally or has internal troubles, it attacks another Nation. Don’t put anything past Obama or his worshipers.

Believe me, I wouldn't put anything past those in power in this country now. The sooner they are removed from power the better. Maybe it's still not too late to prevent the worst parts of the Bible from occurring, if we can turn this nation back to God.

I have heard that the Turks can be one hell of an intimadating force.
Their Army, not their air force,
Course if the two get froggy then NATO gets involved. However good that may get ya.

Obama v. Putin?

Nope. The Russian jets were not facing even the slightest risk. They are led by a brutal patriot. We are led by a sissy who hates our country. Russia might inform Turkey of future incursions, but only to be polite, not because they are afraid of the pansy in our White House.

Oh NO! And Putin doesn't know this. He was too young for Vietnam (yes, some Soviets were there). Wonder if he was in Afghanistan. Good thing Kerry warned him. Hope someone tells Kerry our planes are at risk as well.
