Can you imagine this happening even ten years ago? This is the pace of “social change” in the seventh year of the reign of the Emperor Hussein:
A highly adored and highly controversial fast food chain satisfied cravings and ruffled a few feathers Saturday with the grand opening of its first official Manhattan outpost. Chick-Fil-A, the massively popular Southern staple owned by a conservative Christian family known for their anti-gay marriage views, hatched a 5,000-square-foot store in Herald Square to mixed reviews from fervent devotees and activists.
“This is the best chicken in the world, in my opinion.” said Dana Kelly, 25, after devouring an original chicken sandwich with waffle fries. “It was completely worth it. It’s like nothing else.” Thousands of hungry, and soggy, fast food fanatics braved the bad weather to get a taste of the chain’s signature sandwiches. A few hundred even camped out overnight. Hours after the doors opened, a 20-minute-long line still stretched down W. 37th St. from the front doors on Sixth Ave.
But not everyone outside the new sandwich shop Saturday was there for a taste of chicken. “I was very shocked by the amount of people lining up to support this company,” said Lila Trenkova, a founder of Collectively Free, an animal and gay rights activist group. “I think that it’s ignorance rather than people actually not caring.” Trenkova and about two dozen others staged a demonstration outside the three-story behemoth to protest Chick-Fil-A’s history as a conservative-owned chicken palace.
Ha ha ha. But please note how the dying New York Daily News characterized the chain: “known for their anti-gay marriage views.” In fact, the views of the religiously conservative owners are “pro-traditional marriage.” But these days, to be on the same side of the issue that President Obama was until about five minutes ago is construed as “hate.”
Progressives, homosexuals and other assorted undesirables can stay out of Chick-Fil-A; I’ll stay out of Starbucks. Sounds fair to me!

That has one huge assumption -— Progressives and liberals play by FAIR rules. They don’t. They only play by THEIR RULES and when they don’t win, they always want government (the entity with the biggest guns and weapons) to intervene on their behalf.

Controversial to who? Chik-Fil-A serves everyone, has exceptional customer service, treats its employees well, and makes a mighty fine chicken sandwich.

You gotta understand that to them, it was a Pyrrhic victory.
A 5-4 SCOTUS decision simply means that it was a political win. For gay marriage to be accepted, HEARTS and MINDS have to be changed.
That has not happened as can be seen by the various RESISTANCE to their cause (e.g. Christian bakers, photographers, lodge owners and even Kim Davis ).
They won’t rest until people like YOU and ME submit and cry uncle ( which is to say -— we tell them, alright, we will celebrate gay marriage ).

One very liberal associate of mine termed the 2012 "Chick Fil A Appreciation Day" a promotion gimmick. Considering the gay mafia launched the initial salvo, I told him, "good on them. That's exactly how it should go."
They actually got what the leaders wanted - criminalizing opposition.
The tools in the trenches want acceptance, and will be further used to achieve the goals of the leaders -
the punishment, criminalization, and elimination of opposition.
Works for me I don’t like eating around libs or fags.

Whenever I eat at Chik-Fil-A, most of the people around me are black folks. Some white, of course, but a lot of blacks. I don’t think they give a damn what Chik-Fil-A OR gay guys think. They just want a sandwich.
I see mainly soccer moms with young’uns and teenagers.
Animal AND!!! gay rights group???!!!! So they combined the two? What....it facilitates things? I don't want to think about it.
The gay animals are especially offended. But straight cows are delighted—they have been running ads for years urging people to eat more chicken.
It couldn't be that they disagree with you, could it? That's unpossible.
