Laced with alcohol, of course. He’s not the only one to have wild side effects from Ambien/Alcohol, but he is the most famous.
Best thing to do if you’re going to take that drug with any alcohol in your system is to give your wife the keys, tell her to hide them, and then go to bed. Otherwise you can easily wake up behind the wheel some place.
