Bipartisan push grows for no-fly zones in Syria (RATS join Fiorina, McCain, McCarthy, Kasich)

A growing number of Democrats are joining GOP voices in calling for a no-fly zone or a safe zone in Syria where civilians and opposition fighters can go without fear of attack — a step the Obama administration does not back.

The calls come after the spectacle of millions of desperate Syrian refugees fleeing to Europe, and an increasing sense that the Pentagon's program to train moderate rebels is failing.

They continued even after Russian aircraft entered Syrian airspace this week to go after groups fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad, including rebels backed by the U.S.

Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton on Thursday called for no-fly zones in Syria, breaking with the administration a day after Russian bombs began dropping.

"I personally would be advocating now for a no-fly zone and humanitarian corridors to try to stop the carnage on the ground and from the air, to try to provide some way to stem the flow of refugees," she said an interview with an NBC affiliate.

Clinton’s endorsement of a no-fly zone puts her in line with Republican hawks

The “good” rebels that murder Christians and eat the livers of their victims?

Distraction politics at work. The uniparty political class is trying to distract the GOP party base with an exciting false narrative about the need to immediately intervene in Syria. The desired goal is to drive a wedge between Trump and Carson and Cruz by using flag waving pseudo-patriotic themes to stir up the (in their view) dim witted masses and point out the outsider candidates are ‘unpatriotic’ since they don't endorse bomb first and figure out a strategy later (meaning never).

Watch for a number of Dems to start supporting this drive to ‘do something’ including ones that would not support a similar effort last year.

All of this is for domestic consumption to try and derail the outsider candidates and give the GOPe candidates something to spout off about to hopefully move the debate away from their uniparty scheming.

Those who advocate no fly zone are basically advocating war with Russia. No fly zone only work against small nations like Iraq. Its not going to work against Russia. You going to threaten them and they’ll call your bluff and move in anyway and an air war starts with Russia. ISIS are goign to flee and be protected by US air cover. How does it feel being ISIS’s air force?

With just a few bombs Putin just made the situation in Syria a lot worse. Rebels groups are consolidating to fight Assad & Russia. A couple thousand Chechens left Isis allegedly this week and joined other rebel groups.

Like Chechnya and Ukraine before Syria, thousands will die because of Putin’s bungling mass murder. History shows that where Russia goes, misery follows.

Any rebel group who are willing to join ISIS, deserve to be destroyed as well. Just a few days ago, I read that Kurds are willing to work with Russians to take out ISIS. That’s the proper response, not join ISIS

Only a moron would think getting involved in this fubar show would be a good idea. There are no good guys, only different levels of bad guys. Who sorts them out better than GOD! I seem to remember a vote on Syrian intervention 2 years ago, it was overwhelmingly rejected because we melted the phone lines into congress!

I think Kurds are the only good ones. All other rebels groups are fake Moderates. If their no.1 priority is Assad and not ISIS then they’re enablers of ISIS’s crime. Assad is the least of the two evils. ISIS’s crime is much worst

Obama screwed us all, when we didnt bomb ISIS in to oblivion when they were a rag tag bunch of terriosts in Toyota pickups. Forget Maliki, it’s about the blood of our brothers that was shed to secure security in Iraq, regardless if you agree with the premise, and he threw it all away.

He says he is a Christian? You know a tree by it’s fruit. Anyone with half a brain know where his sympathies lie. That is whyvwe are at where we are

When are you people going to learn there are no "good" groups there.

They're your friends as long you're bribing them, arming them or building stuff for them. After that, they either turn on you or get their asses kicked (or run away) and everything you've done for them is LOST, usually to your worst enemies.

How many times do we need to go through this exercise? It's gotten us NOWWHERE. I say this as someone who's spent years of his life in the Middle East and still makes his living off the "War on Terror." I stand a lot to lose by lack of engagement, and a lot to gain by continuing the folly.

On my first deployment to the Middle East I was blowing up vehicles that were exactly like mine save for a different paint job. My subsequent deployments (over 10 now... yes really) I've had to deal with the repercussions from a monster known as Osama Bin Laden - a monster WE CREATED TO DEAL WITH THE SOVIET UNION RUSSIANS.

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP

If they want a shooting war with Russia, that’s the way to do it. It will be us that gets shot at first. The Russians have a super-power sized chip on their shoulder. If we play their game and shooting starts, then where does it stop? The Baltic states, the rest of the Ukraine? The immediate transfer of advanced weapons to Iran with the “advisors” to operate them. They could shut down the Straits of Hormuz before we could decide on the arrangement of flags as an associates peace summit. Putin is dangerous, because he knows we won’t stop him. The only way to do it without shooting is to make moves that threaten their economic interests. They like selling natural gas to Europe. We should threaten to get into that business.

Deal with ISIS first. Then deal with Assad.
Several Media and ranking Russians stated this week that he may not be a part of a future solution for Syria, but he is all there is right now.

The Russians caught the Obamunist Brain Trust, (da’ smartest humans evah born!!) off guard.

There is far more to what is going on than we know.
Putin did not say, in front of the U.N. and the world, but ignored by the US Media, “DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE??” for nothing.
