Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Friday the United States should establish no-fly zones and sanctuaries along Syria's border with Jordan and Turkey, and warn aggressors, specifically Russian President Vladimir Putin, that they violate those buffers at their own risk.
Campaigning in New Hampshire, the Republican presidential hopeful said the U.S. must send a message that military retaliation is a guarantee, not an idle threat, if conditions are not met.
"You enter that no-fly zone, you enter at your own peril," Kasich said. "No more red lines, no more looking the other way. If any hostile aircraft should enter that, there will be a great consequence to them."

As if the U.S. can do anything about it. I don’t have much faith in our socially engineered military anymore. It was better to have a military made up of warriors rather than fairies dressed up like women.

Kasich, Fiorina, and...Hillary all called for the same “No Fly Zone” with the same language in the same week...just befort it became public that Obama had sent 2 squadrons of F-22’s to the Syrian theater (obviously not stationed *in* Syria).
They knew.
They knew in advance that Obama had moved the F-22s into that region and they all 3 called for doing what Obama was wanting.
...and now they are all backstabbed by Obama because Obama backed down. Obama *didn’t* instigate a No Fly Zone over Syria after all.
Thankfully.
...but Kasich, Fiorina, and Hillary were each quite willing to support Obama on that matter.

When the president AND his military are both fundamentally weak an aggressor will believe he can press and if necessary tough him out. This is a situation that can promote big trouble.
Kasich has not authority whatsoever to issue a comment like this.
Someone should alert him to that fact and tell him to shut up.
