One thing liberals and Muslims both have in common, they wanted to return to the dark ages.

Except, of course, his own.
I guess they can just bring supplies in by horse drawn carts, eh?

Does this include public transportation? Delivery vehicles? I would be interested to learn what effect this had on productivity.

They’re just conditioning the masses to accept the outlawing of cars for all except the elites.

In Los Angeles they have this thing called CicLAvia where they close off a few roads on a Sunday to cars. People are encouraged to bike, walk, rollerblade along the car-free corridor.
The businesses at either end of the route might get good business from people who end their biking there and have some food and drink.
However, all of the other businesses along the route seem to get hosed as it is difficult for people to get there by car.

Only electric cars allowed.

Actually, I don't think that's true.
When I used to live in NYC, the air the first thing in the morning was fresh and clear--often with a sea breeze scent to it.
But by mid-afternoon, it was filthy and sometimes visible to the naked eye.
Even weekend air is much better than that of a busy weekday.

I’ve read that France is a very nice place with very nice people if you exclude Paris.

I’d bet that retail sales were way down. Lots of sales of day-old bread on the 28th, I’d wager.

Parts of Houston are doing the same thing on Sunday. It’s a “get to know your neighborhood” thing pushed by the liberal, gay mayor. Notice that they haven’t included any of Sheila Jackson Lee’s areas yet though. So glad I don’t live in the city any more.
