The father of the Oregon community college shooter said Saturday that he "had no idea that he had any guns whatsoever" and called for more restrictions as he questioned how his 26-year-old son obtained as many as 13 firearms.
"How on Earth could he compile 13 guns? How can that happen?" asked Ian Mercer, the father of Christopher Harper-Mercer, who killed nine people and injured nine others in the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.

How about, why didn’t I get him mental help...he was my son, I, of all people should have known he had screws loose and was dangerous. How is a gun shop suppose to know he was NUTS when his own father didn’t recognize the symptoms?

If not guns he would have stolen a piece of heavy equipment and rammed it into a building.

The number of weapons that he possessed is irrelevant. What is relevant and yet to be answered is why and why are you so clueless about it?

Who uses the word ‘compile’ in relation to purchasing guns ?
I, for one, don’t believe that this man is his father. I think he’s a government asset.
Well, neither he nor his mother had a job, so he probably used their welfare checks to purchase them.
