Russia on Friday bombed a major strategically important Syrian city - Qaryatain, held by the Islamic State militants, according to Reuters.

It is reported that the area is heavily populated. More details of the bombing are still awaited.

The Sunni terror group captured Qaryatain, located 130 km northeast of Damascus in August, after expelling the forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad. Then last month, the Sunni terror group gave an ultimatum to the Christian population living in Qaryatain to either pay exorbitant taxes, convert to Islam or leave.

Qaryatain is said to be a strategic town located along a road linking Palmyra with the eastern countryside of Qalamoun, north of Damascus.

Russia carried out its first airstrikes in Syria on Wednesday ( 30 September). Since then the Russian defence ministry has claimed it has carried out dozens of bombing on Isis targets "day and night".

But, but, but O’Reilly told us that the Russians are NOT bombing any ISIS targets.

It will be interesting to see how long the MSM hangs on to the “Russians Aren’t Bombing ISIS” meme.

A US media source would have never identified this as a Sunni terror group...

Obama was a raised a Sunni, what he is now is open to interpretation...depending on how deep your head is buried up your anus...

If they are not ALL ISIS now, they would all be ISIS if ISIS wins

Russia is targeting bad guys of all names and tribal flags
Just do so some research when a town or group is mentioned

Meanwhile, good shooting boys
They are surging today

Finally giving our BDA analysts some meaningful work

Sunni raised but supporting Iran who are Shite.

My brother and I against each other and my brother and I against anyone else.

Both the Sunni and Shite want Assad out because he is neither but especially the Sunni (Saudis) want him out mostly because the Russians are backing Iran but so is dungo.

Only the Saudis want ISIS in because they are against both Assad and Iran.
