The first headline about "a sense of regret" came from an unnamed "Vatican official."

Again: that gets to be the headline!

There's always a sense of thousands of little curia-critters scurrying under the floorboards. #8

"He's" sorry? "He" (Pope Francis) never said he was sorry. An "Unnamed Vatican official" said there was "a sense of regret."

What rot. Who's going to get us the name of this "Vatican official"?

It is the LIBERAL HANDLERS at the Vatican who have the regret.

The Pope is quite clear on why he reached out.

“Do not hide your light under a bushel basket.”

Pope Francis: “I want to do some reflection upon my acts, bring me...”
Aide: “The New Testament?”
Pope Francis: “No, the New York Times.”

I’m thinking Reuters created this “sense of regret” story out of thin air.

Maybe it’s time to become a Christ-loving Protestant.

Yeah, huh? What the heck is in the water over there?

Or has Satan truly infiltrated the Vatican? It seems that way. Bizarro world.

I had one great-grandmother who was a Lutheran.
She married into a big Catholic family. Our Church likely would have treated her better had she been a leper. Still a source of shame and anger in our family a half-century after she passed on.

Dirty little secret....most Catholics now agree that the Church NEEDED to be taken down a peg when Luther did it. You can now walk into a Catholic Church at Christmastime and hear “Away in a Manger”....a tacit admission that he may have had a point.

One Vatican official said there was "a sense of regret" that the pope had ever seen Kim Davis…

Says “a Vatican official” according to this article. We all know how dependable this can be. About as dependable as Katie Couric’s “some say …”

The encounter in Washington was originally kept secret…

Because this was not a one-on-one meeting with the soul purpose talking directly to her. She was part of a large group from all over the country that he met with. Their encounter was brief. No need to tout that to the news media.

Sorry current catholics. If you stay in that church, you are as much the enemy as Obama. You are empowering this Pope’s crap.

Kim Davis is down in Kentucky, having her husband brush her long brown hair while they both laugh it up, seeing the liberal all confused about what happened. Kim did meet with the Pope, it’s now been proven. So deal with it. Shock! He is not yet fully in the lib. pocket after all.

I have thought of that, but many mainline Protestant churches are even more liberal than the Catholic Church. Which one do you recommend?

Yes, I am disgusted with the Leftist leadership of my Church. Does that mean I should leave my Church?

I am equally disgusted with the Leftist leadership of my country. Does that mean I should leave my country?

Gert and Regert sat on a log...

As a Lutheran, I confess a sense of tiredness with the roller coaster of the present papacy. You either stand for God’s will as defined by 2000 years of adherence to the Word of God (meaning both Christ and Scripture) or you don’t.

Perhaps it is because I am too overwhelmed by the Martyrs of Umpqua; the Vatican may be the center of Catholicism, but God’s heart is in Oregon today.

And prelates in the Vatican a-bed
Must think themselves accurs’d they were not there,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
Of those so martyred on Saint Melor’s day.

(Yesterday was the feast day of St. Melorius, who according to legend was martyred as a teenager.)
