I don’t think the CoC wants an amnesty bill because if the illegals are given amnesty they will immediately cost more money. They want to keep the status quo. Lots of cheap illegal labor and no enforcement.
And this is where they have badly miscalculated. It isn’t and wasn’t a formal organized “Tea Party” that forced out Cantor. Nor was it the same for Boehner.
They mistake their target for their misplaced anger as some formal organized group. They could never be more wrong.
They have forgotten the lies, obfuscation, show votes and backstabbing they’ve perpetrated over for years and now they think their enemy is some ‘group’.
That group is more amorphous than that, and they are all over this country. They can’t put a name tag on anyone or anything they think they can target like a sniper. They are our enemies, and they will go down.
It wasn’t too many years ago the Chamber was rock solid conervative
The CoC is nothing but lefties.
Nope, the left has blended with the Chamber of Commerce types to give us such boondoggles as “economic development”, which is a giant scam. Even small towns now have departments dedicated to economic development that exist to take tax money and use it to bribe businesses into coming to their town. It involves a lot of free trips for politicians and Chamber of Commerce types to schmooze on our dime. It’s central planning by another name.
“Scott Reed, the group’s top strategist, told Roll Call that “the gang that wants to shut down the government, that’s a clear contrast to what the business community agrees is best for economic growth.”
Has Scott figured out that more than half of the folks who vote R are part of the gang he speaks of? If you throw them off the boat, what happens to the boat.
Actually, CoC folks probably need to get honest and join the socialist Democrat party. They really have a lot more in common with D’s.

How are the Conservatives even competitive? Yet they are. That should tell you something.
