The meeting between Pope Francis and Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis came at the invitation of a high-ranking Vatican official connected to the Secretariat of State of the Holy See acting on behalf of the Pope himself, Breitbart News has learned.

According to a person involved in arranging the meeting but who requested anonymity, the Vatican official called Robert Moynihan, editor of Inside the Vatican who is well known in Rome. The official asked Moynihan if he could help arrange a meeting while the Pope was in the United States.

I feel a lot of schadenfreude with the LGBT fascists going crazy that the Pope supports Ms. Davis. They thought Francis was their lapdog.

Well that’s going to torque the LGBT mafia off even more.

I may be changing my mind on the Holy Father if this keeps up.

Worse than a lapdog: they thought Francis was a fellow traveller.

They invested enormously in building him up as a great moral authority, portraying him as being above politics.

Now that he’s done something from a moral standpoint that they don’t like, they can’t easily back away from having done that.

Careful ... a broken clock is correct twice a day

Francis has handlers that direct him

Why didn't he visit the cake people ?

Pope Francis has been and will continue to be a roller coaster ride for a lot of people who are looking to him for political support on specific issues they care about.

The Pope is trying to please everybody. This is not a good plan. Even God was only able to please 66.6 percent of his angels.

One source speculated that the Chancery of the Washington Archdiocese and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops were deliberately kept out of the loop for fear that the meeting might be scuttled.

No doubt about that.

Yes, I too enjoyed their outrage. I was drinking my coffee reading some of their comments. It really warmed my heart to see them in such a state. The white pedestal they created for this pope came crashing down upon them.

I look forward to the day when the Obama pedestal comes crashing down on them as well.

I bet it’s the nuncio, Vigano, who arranged it. He’s very good - he was appointed by BXVI upon the death of another good nuncio, Sambi, and between the two of them and the more conservative USCCB, they appointed most of the good bishops we have received in the last 10 years. (The recent bad appointments, btw, were made over the head of the USCCB and Vigano, neither of which had recommended the appointees - such as Cupich - who were instead drawn by somebody in Rome.)

Vigano is the one who personally gave all of the seminarians and young religious, male and female, who attended the papal mass in DC a copy of the wonderful book by Cardinal Sarah, God or Nothing. It’s a really great, readable book that makes you hope Cdl. Sarah will be the next pope...you can get it for your Kindle. Read it!

EXCLUSIVE: Kim Davis Recounts Secret Meeting With Pope Francis
http://abcnews.go.com/US/exclusive-kim-davis-recounts-secret-meeting-pope-francis/story?id=34143874

Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis says a private meeting with Pope Francis has inspired her -– and given her a renewed sense of purpose.

“I was crying. I had tears coming out of my eyes,” Davis said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. “I’m just a nobody, so it was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me.”

The Pope is trying to please everybody.

No, the Pope is trying to live like a good Jesuit, which often involves an intense focus on the issue immediately at hand and a “damn the torpedoes” attitude. Far from trying to please everybody, he largely ignores anyone who is not his immediate/intended audience. Whether or not this is a good attitude when one is in a position where there is a large not-immediate audience is debatable, but not a debate that is likely occurring to someone who has lived most of his life as a Jesuit.

I still think he is trying to please everybody, or at least most everybody. He avoids using clear and distinct words like “abortion” preferring a vague reference to protecting life at all stages etc. This allow those listenting to him, who favor abortion, to applaud those words because in their minds life begins at birth. That is just one example.

Love your tagline, I had same for several months.

When Pope Francis traveled to a prison to meet with murderers, rapists, and sexual deviants of every stripe, the left was proud of him.

When Pope Francis met with a Christian woman who believes marriage is between a man and a woman the left fell into full hate festival...

Leftists: intolerant haters - every damn one of 'em....
