Yes, but I am thinking his age 6-10 schooling in Indonesia trumps that. They are the very formative years where youths begin to understand more complex ideas and are also more impressionable, especially to rote dogmatic brainwashing, IMO.
I’d agree with you. Somehow the idea of a less-than-10-y/o kid learning Marxism is bit far-feteched. It would seem like the type of submission Islam demands would be much more “engrainable” if there is such a word. Later on, with Western, Judeo-Christian values totally upended, Marxism could find fertile ground in a skull full of mush.
