Goes to show. Why are blue states in so much financial trouble where red states are not? OTOH I live in Washington state which is a blue state but I don’t want to leave it. BTW, there are more red states than blue.

I have a strong feeling that the welfare class of the blue states aren’t moving. The working class is. I bet more than half are Republican voters.
Blue states are going to financially implode. California has a higher % of people in poverty than Mississippi, lol.
Not always, we moved from NJ to VA and brought strong conservatism with us.
My town, in one of the most conservative parts of the U.S. for decades, used to be known as a place with a church on every corner, which is actually true.
Now most of them in the middle of town have signs saying “all love is equal”, and one even has that stupid rainbow flag on it.
How Muslim of them.

I think recent electoral results in Colorado and Florida indicate that there has been an influx of Dem voters. A lot of working class people in the blue states are still liberal. A classic case would be a NYC policeman or fireman. They get to retire in their 50’s, thanks to their union. Even after they move away to Florida, the union will still be in their blood.
I think some of it is politics and economics, but a good percentage of it is about avoiding winter. This year, there seems to be a mass exodus out of the northeast for warmer climates.

I’d like to some statistics on this — I’d imagine that at least some of them are conservatives heading for more agreeable pastures.
We left the socialist republik of Washington for northern Michigan this year.
Since they are already Democrats, the question answers itself.
