House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), a California Republican, is running for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. “I have decided to run for Speaker of the House and graciously ask for your support,” McCarthy said in a statement.

McCarthy destroyed the CA by agreeing to a Dem 2010 redistricting plan than spared his seat and wiped out the CA House and Senate seats giving the Dems filibuster proof majorities.
