WaPo:Jeb Bush Nearing 'Make or Break' Point(Poor Jebbie is wasting COC money in a thwarted effort)

GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush, who was at one time considered a shoe-in for the party nomination, is now facing a do-or-die warning from senior fundraisers who say he needs to correct his sinking poll numbers in October or face losing key supporters.

The former Florida governor over the weekend downplayed his dwindling poll numbers, telling Fox News Sunday the "polls don't really matter," reports The Washington Post, and he and his super PAC are readying an aggressive ad campaign, but a recent national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll put him in fifth place with just 7 percent of the voters. The donor warnings are coming after Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker left the race, refocusing the establishment voter race between Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who now leads his former mentor in almost all of the polls.

Even more telling, about a third of Walker's bundlers have switched to Rubio, with fewer going to Bush, sources close to discussions reported to The Post.

Bush is also coming under fire for a series of awkward comments, including telling South Carolina voters that Democrats win the black vote by telling them "we'll take care of you with free stuff," which Democrats said contributed to a pattern of GOP candidates insulting minority voters.

* I support the break. Anybody else? *

I certainly support the break!

Maybe someone could convince him to put up a billboard on the moon. It would easily use up the rest of his campaign funds.

This is one thing I agree with Bush on. Can any Democrat point out what was incorrect in the statement?

He also has said he could win the nomination without the base.

These people are insane.

And not very good at English, either.

It's "shoo in". As in, "shoo the chickens into the coop". Malapropisms by print media annoy me. It shows the continuing decline of education in the country.

By who? This is the problem with Republican politics. I don't know of anyone who wanted Jeb Bush to be the Republican nominee this year. The media pushed him. He was on top of the polls for a few months due to name recognition alone. Then he collapsed. There is no "front runner" 18 months or two years out. But the media tries to clear the field for their favorites even though it has no b basis in reality.

Good. The more money the CoC throws down the Yeb toilet, the less they have to spend on more viable candidates like Rubio.

Don’t be surprised if he is the nominee anyway, even without the base. The RNC owes The Cheap Labor Express an amnesty candidate.
