[Vanity] Trump manhandles SeeBS and Scott Pelley [On now West Coast 7pm]
CBS 60 Minutes ^ | 9/27/2015 | Video at link

Posted on 09/27/2015 5:22:06 PM PDT by re_nortex

Donald Trump is firing salvo after salvo tonight on 60 Minutes. He's winning the arguments in a hostile, communist environment. The unhinged far-left interviewer, Scott Pelley, may have been born in Texas but he's not a true Texan because he rejected the Conservative Christian (and Jewish) values of the Lone Star state. Since Pelley (like Dan Rather, Walter KKKronkite and Egbert R. Murrow) is a limp-wristed metrosexual who hates America, it's great to see him getting TRUMPED!

Go Trump go! Attack! Attack! Attack!

Interesting observation and probably right on the mark. They want to showcase Trump’s huge ego not being smart enough to know that his huge ego is what people like about him.

Donald Trump: If they've done well they're going out and they're coming back in legally. Because you said it----

Scott Pelley: You're rounding them all up?

Donald Trump: We're rounding 'em up in a very humane way, in a very nice way. And they're going to be happy because they want to be legalized. And, by the way, I know it doesn't sound nice. But not everything is nice.

So they are going out and then coming back in and they are going to be happy.

So either Trump is glossing over an over-and-back touchback amnesty or he is glossing over a deportation where the illegals need to wait on the back of the quota line.

So which is it Donald?

And you KNOW they edited the hell out of the interview and came up with the best they could to make him look bad. I thought he handled it skillfully.

Donald Trump was masterful as he swatted a little gnat. Take a look at Scott Pelley from 30 years ago. Even then he was honing his liberal bona fides at leftwing Dallas TV station. In that piece, he's attacking a homebuilder as part of his anti-capitalism bias.

It was a calculated gotcha to throw Mr. Trump off his game. As always, Donald didn’t tolerate that type of questioning from the enemedia and knocked the interviewer for a loop!

All the Networks and Cable outfits put the Interview at the beginning of the Show so their “All Star Panel” of Leftist Morons can attack the person without him / her being able to respond.

It seems worse for any Conservative or Republican being interrogated, I mean interviewed. I'm talking about all the Sunday Morning supposed News Shows and the usual Cable nonsense that plays all week long.

I am so happy to hear how clued in Donald Trump is. He’s totally up to speed on the history of the Eisenhower plan to deport millions of illegals!

Donald Trump is amazing! He actually seems like he’s a longtime Freeper!

I’ve lost count on how many times Pelley said “you can’t do that!”

Pelley was aggravating...Putin was treated with more respect than Trump on 60 Minutes.

I agree totally! I wasn't onboard initially for Donald Trump but I came to realize that what he says and believes are 100% in harmony with Free Republic's pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-military and anti-sodomy standards.

Go Trump go! Crush the enemy! Make America Great! Woo hoo!

Scott Pelley on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

“He is genuinely religious, genuinely humble, there are no fancy clothes, fancy cars, he lives with his wife and his three children. They live in an apartment in Tehran. He is a very modest man and said to be absolutely incorruptible as well, he’s a fascinating character.”

Sott Pelley on Hillary

During a May 9, 2010 profile of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on 60 Minutes

“She doesn’t let anyone work harder’ and “she’s the only person in American politics with global star power close to that held by Barack Obama.

“A few Secretaries of State have been famous; none has been a first name celebrity like Hillary.”

Global Warming Skeptics Just Like Holocaust Deniers

In a March 23, 2006 interview about his coverage of environmental issues Pelley was actually asked by CBSNews.com’s senior political reporter Brian Montopoli why he refused to include skeptics of global warming and he replied: “If I do an interview with Elie Wiesel, am I required as a journalist to find a Holocaust denier?”

Montopoli went on to report that Pelley said: “His team tried hard to find a respected scientist who contradicted the prevailing opinion in the scientific community, but there was no one out there who fit that description” and then quoted Pelley arrogantly insisting: “This isn’t about politics or pseudo-science or conspiracy theory blogs. This is about sound science.”

Supreme Court ‘Stole’ 2000 Election for Bush

In a softball interview with retired liberal Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens on the November 28, 2010 edition of 60 Minutes, Pelley touted Stevens’s opposition to the court ruling on the 2000 presidential election: “He thinks [Bush v. Gore] is one of the Court’s greatest blunders....There were many people in this country who felt that the Supreme Court stole that election for President Bush.”

Pelley: U.S. Health Care as Bad as a Third World Country

On the March 2, 2008, 60 Minutes, Pelley plunged into the presidential campaign with a story supporting the liberal issue agenda: “One of the decisive issues in the presidential campaign is likely to be health insurance. Texas and Ohio vote on Tuesday, and those states alone have nearly 7 million uninsured residents. Nationwide, 47 million have no health insurance. But that’s just the start, because millions more are underinsured...”

He proceeded to profile a charity called Remote Area Medical and its efforts to provide free health care in the United States: “Recently, we heard about an American relief organization that air drops doctors and medicine into the jungles of the Amazon. Its called Remote Area Medical, or RAM for short. Remote Area Medical sets up emergency clinics where the needs are greatest. But these days, that’s not the Amazon - this charity founded to help people who can’t reach medical care now finds itself throwing America a lifeline.”

CBS’s America Under Bush:Depression-Era Food Lines

Back on the January 8, 2003 60 Minutes II, over video of a long line of people in Marietta, Ohio, Pelley ominously intoned: “The lines we found looked like they’d been taken from the pages of the Great Depression. It’s not just the unemployed, we found plenty of people working full time but still not able to earn enough to keep hunger out the house. If you think you have a good idea of who’s hungry in America today, come join the line. You’d never guess who you’d meet there.”

Pelley’s emotions-over-facts style of reporting included this line: “Pre- schoolers come here with their parents and play in boxes as empty as the day’s want ads.” Pelley asked, “When you look at this line, what do you see?” And answered the question himself: “You know what I see? Some pretty average looking Americans.”

Pelley Highlights Illegal Immigrant ‘Carnage’ in All-American Canal

In wake of Arizona passing a new immigration law, on the May 2, 2010 edition of 60 Minutes, Pelley fretted over illegal immigrants entering the United States by swimming across California’s All-American Canal: “a national moat on our southern border, and hundreds of people have perished in its waters. It is a carnage that has gone mostly unnoticed because many of the victims are buried without their names.”

Pelley also blamed the drownings, not on those crossing the border illegally, but on those operating the canal: “The water is 225 feet across, 20 feet deep, with almost no rescue lines or climb-out ladders, safety devices that you would find in some other canals....management is controlled by a regional authority called the Imperial Irrigation District....They’ve taken votes, commissioned studies, but done almost nothing.”

Misinformed Ground Zero Mosque Opponents Whip Up ‘A Fury’

In a September 26, 2010 60 Minutes story that gave a glowing portrayal of the real estate developer and imam behind the Ground Zero mosque, Pelley also used the opportunity to smear opponents of the project: “...a national controversy with anger, passion, and more than a little misinformation. Opponents whipped up a fury, calling the project a grotesque mega-mosque tied to terrorism.”

Pelley Astonished at McCain’s Opinion That Palin Is Qualified to Be President

In a September 21, 2008 interview on 60 Minutes, Pelley hit then GOP presidential candidate John McCain on his running mate’s qualifications, telling him “the criticism of Governor Palin is that she was a brilliant marketing choice for the campaign, but she’s not well versed on the economy or foreign affairs,” and demanded: “In your judgment, can you see her as President of the United States?” When McCain replied “Absolutely,” Pelley’s voice betrayed astonishment as he fired back: “As President of the United States?”

Pelley Covers Up For Bill Clinton

Back in 1993, the CBS Evening News didn’t show viewers a single second of more than ten hours of taped interviews reporter Pelley conducted with Arkansas state troopers who alleged that a then Governor Bill Clinton used them to procure women for adulterous affairs. “We just felt, not to sound pompous in any way, but it didn’t rise to the level of something that we wanted to put on the Evening News,” Pelley later told political scientist Larry Sabato, in his book, co-authored with the Center for Media and Public Affairs’ Robert Lichter, entitled: When Should the Watchdogs Bark?

How many times has Pelley said THAT to Obama or, for that matter, any Democrat? I’ll wager none.

Sounds to me like they go back home and get in at the end of the Legal Line just like everyone else.

If Trump beats this into the ground he will be compared to the Nazis using Boxcars to take the Jews to Auscwotz, bet on it.

Murrow's leftism was well established very early on in life and that may explain how an obscure graduate of a second tier college (WSU) arose to be come such an important figure at CBS.

Never forget that Murrow recruited (vetted) any number of "journalists" who became important communication figures in post WWII America playing major roles in molding American opinion by controlling the information we got and how it was presented.

The result was a group of reporters acclaimed for their intellect and descriptive power, including Eric Sevareid, Charles Collingwood, Howard K. Smith, Mary Marvin Breckinridge, Cecil Brown, Richard C. Hottelet, Bill Downs, Winston Burdett, Charles Shaw, Ned Calmer, and Larry LeSueur...After the war, Murrow recruited journalists such as Alexander Kendrick, David Schoenbrun, Daniel Schorr[10] and Robert Pierpoint into the circle of the Boys.

Not mentioned in this gaggle of Liberal liars and phonies is Cronkite, though while in Europe he and Egbert were close, and In 1950, Cronkite joined CBS News in its young and growing television division, again recruited by Murrow.

All of that shows Pelley carries on the "legacy" of Egbert R. Murrow, a fellow traveler. I always use his real name since "Edward" is a total fabrication -- much like the lies he broadcast about Senator Joseph McCarthy. Of course, to REAL AMERICANS, McCarthy's reputation is hallowed and Murrow's is thoroughly disgraced.

Did Donald Trump ‏say this? "It was a scary being on #60minutes tonight. "Every time I heard that ticking sound I thought that Muslim boy with the clock was behind me."

Given how many laws the current President ignores, I have a hard time worrying about Trump breaking with NAFTA. You break it. Done. What are they going to do? Refuse to trade with us?

They can put up their own tariffs if they want. I don’t care. I want to see manufacturing come back to America. And part of what has chased it away is the corporate tax rate. When we help make it cheaper to build overseas by overtaxing anyone who stays in the US, that is where the jobs go.
