High-tailing it out of blue states: Migration is changing the economic center of gravity

The so-called “progressives” love to talk about how their policies will create a worker’s paradise, but then why is it that day after day, month after month, year after year, people are fleeing liberal blue states for conservative red states? The new Census data on where we live and where we moved to in 2014 shows that the top seven states with the biggest percentage increase in in-migration from other states are in order: North Dakota, Nevada, South Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, and Texas. All of these states are red, except Colorado, which is purple. Meanwhile the leading exodus states of the continental states in percentage terms were: Alaska, New York, Illinois, Connecticut, New Mexico, New Jersey, and Kansas. All of these states are blue, except Alaska and Kansas. The latest Rich States, Poor States document (which I co-author) published by ALEC, the state legislative organization, finds that nearly 1,000 people each day on net are leaving blue states and entering red states. This migration is changing the economic center of gravity in America — moving it relentlessly to the South and West.

As Mark Levin says - they are like a horde of locusts - they will take their liberal ideas and agenda to red states and ruin them. Then they will move on to the next. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

This explains why a Southern secession will be a winner! The South is the most economically vibrant part of the nation thanks to pro-business Right to Work laws and a better workforce not under the whip of union slavemasters.

Texas is being overrun with illegals, Yankees and Californians.

Its something like city dwellers moving to the country, then bitching incessantly about combines hogging the roads, rural odors, the people talk too slow, etc.
Then go home!

You'd be surprised how many people can't draw a line between cause and effect. A lot of these folks will be voting Democrat in their new homes and changing red states to blue. Think of locusts devastating the area they come from and then swarming to a new area to do the same, and you have the idea.

Please don’t come. We’re full up. Plus, you won’t like it. Just trust me on that.

....Or maybe just like the trash they put to the curb that is not moved with them, they will put their liberal thinking to curb as well in their new homes in the red states as well.

Not so quick. It is creating more purple states. The influx of kalifornia refugees in Arizona has served only to bring in more liberals ready to take advantage of all the bennies brought by conservative leadership.

Unfortunately, they now consider Arizona to be their new cat box.

No, they are just going to infect the Red States with their politics.

Some years ago we moved to a small Nevada town. Soon afterwards the Californians began coming in.

One of 'em wrote an anti-gun screed Letter to the Editor complaining that we didn't have gun laws "like in California" and that's why there were SO many murders (referring to Las Vegas, but no figures to back up claim).

In a followup Letters I took the idiot to task and refuted him line by line.

About a week later, the wife takes some jewelry to a local to be repaired. When he saw her name, he asked if she was related "to the guy who wrote that Letter". When she said "yes", he said that he agreed with me, but couldn't say so publicly as most of his customers were Californians who didn't agree with him.

It was at that point that I realized how badly infected the town was. It has become worse since I left.

Fleeing liberal states and bringing liberal voting patterns with them.By depopulating the liberal states and moving into the conservative states they, along with the immigrants directed to selected conservative states, are gradually making the Electoral College a left wing campus like most other colleges in the country.
