Hundreds of deported immigrants with mental disabilities may return to US

Hundreds of immigrants with mental disabilities who were deported from the U.S. after representing themselves in court may be allowed to return to the country under a settlement approved by a judge Friday.

[Snip]

Under the agreement, the federal government said it will help those with reopened cases return to the U.S. and pay for some transportation costs.

The settlement comes after an April 2013 injunction that found immigrants with serious mental disabilities have a right to an attorney if they're found mentally incompetent to represent themselves.

I imagine all of them will have mental disabilities if the government is handing out more freebies and can reclassify them to ensure high brown bote numbers

So if borders mean nothing, can’t we also declare that the judge’s ruling means nothing? We can cite Mexican law.

Judge Molly Gee:

On May 27, 1999, President Bill Clinton nominated Gee to be a judge on the United States District Court for the Central District of California to replace Judge John G. Davies. However, with Republicans in control of the United States Senate, Gee's nomination languished… her nomination was returned to Clinton

On August 6, 2009, President Barack Obama nominated Gee to a seat on the United States District Court for the Central District of California,

Well, the train to hell was slowed down for eight years.

Give us your sick, lame and lazy. Your retards... I want to see those bastards in Washington dare to try to cut the Social Security of seniors who have paid into it all of there lives. There will be hell to pay. We’ll make The TEA Party look like a, well, a tea party. Now might be a good time to invest in the tar and feather businesses if you haven’t already done so.

Yes. They want to give money to every third world illegal alien and refugee, pay Moslems not to radicalize and then turn around and take from seniors of our own citizenry? Yes, heads will roll in DC.

It is easy to see that we have hundreds, perhaps many thousands, of judges with mental disabilities.

I know we are Mexico and the third world’s dumping ground but this is a little too much. All these people will be collecting disability checks of 700+ a month or whatever it is these days

There will be hell to pay. We’ll make The TEA Party look like a, well, a tea party. Now might be a good time to invest in the tar and feather businesses if you haven’t already done so.

Our SS will be cut and there will not even be a whimper of complaint. It has already happened.

I remember family discussions from when I was growing up up, and my grandfather's SS was not taxed at all. I got an SS number in the late 50s, and began paying SS tax from jobs in the 60s. Then things changed in 1983 and a part of SS benefits were taxed. Now that I am old enough to be receiving benefits, after paying in at the maximum rate for over 30 years, 85% of my SS is taxed.

This is nothing but a means test by a different name. If your income is low, you get all of your SS. But, I planned ahead, scrimped, saved and sacrificed (yes we did without vacations, new cars, and entertainment) for 30 years. My marginal tax rate, federal and state combined is almost 50%, so over 40% of the SS I was initially promised is clawed back by the government.

I have never even seen widespread understanding of this takeaway, much less a serious protest. Where was this "hell to pay" you speak of. The government has come like a thief in the night and taken away a big bite of what it offered. But, it was clever, and did not steal it all. Just a part of it, and in a complex manner that most did not understand. It will take even more in exactly the same way, but it will not take it all. The serfs will accept the theft because they will still have something, and the risks of fighting for it all are too great to accept the discomfort of standing against the government.

I agree with every word of that! Half the recipients of those social security checks NOW never contributed to the fund. The government has re-defined SS as a social welfare benefit, which is not earned, not owned and may be modified according to the government’s whims.

That’s what we need ... more Social Security disability recipients from Mexico and central America to support for the rest of their lives.

One more time: the federal government is at war with its middle class.

What did you expect? "Welcome, sonny"? "Make yourself at home"? "Marry my daughter"? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... Democrats.
