Peter King: Boehner’s Fall Result Of “People Like Ted Cruz” Who “Hijack And Blackmail The Party”
http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/peter-king-boehners-fall-result-of-people-like-ted-cruz-who?utm_term=.tfvENn0WO ^ | Sept. 25, 2015 | Andrew Kaczynski & Mark Arce

Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, says Tea Party Republicans like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz are to blame for the resignation of House Speaker John Boehner.

“I think he could of been influenced by the pope being here yesterday and that it’s just time to end the fighting that’s gone on, the needless fighting that’s gone on,” King said to radio host John Grambling on Friday. “But having said that I’m disappointed. I think John was as good as a speaker that you could find and he’s undermined by people in his own party from day one. It’s truly tragic.”

King singled out “people like” Cruz as the culprits of Boehner’s demise.

“Yes. Yes, people like Ted Cruz, who believe in shutting down the government, want to shutdown the Department of Homeland of Security at a time when the ISIS has been highest,” added King, saying Boehner couldn’t get much done because there was a Democratic president and a Democratic Senate.

“Whenever the tough decisions had to be made, John made them,” said King. “And at every stage though, he was undercut by people in his own party. And there’s 40 or 50 and that’s it. A small minority, but they were willing to hijack and blackmail the party.”

King said California Rep. Kevin McCarthy would probably be speaker, but “the Ted Cruz-people” would push for an ally as Majority Leader. King said he found it “really offensive” there was a push to remove Boehner.

“He deserved better than this,” added King. “I feel kinda bad for him. He’s probably better off.”

The Long Island Republican, who earlier called Boehner’s resignation a “victory for the crazies” on social media, said those who opposed Boehner had unrealistic expectations.

“I mean seriously they basically want to shut the government down over the whole issue of Planned Parenthood,” King said. “The National Right to Life Committee and the most pro-life members of Congress say that shutting down the government would not advance the cause of the anti-abortion movement whatsoever.”

“But these guys have latched onto that as a reason to, they were going to basically attempt to remove the speaker if he was not able to get Planned Parenthood defunded even though the president would veto the bill and the Senate would not be able to pass it and that in that case we should shut the government down.”

“And that’s why I said it was a victory for the crazies,” he concluded.

I can only conclude you are just another lying bastard democrat infiltrating the Republican Party trying to destroy conservatives.

Problem is it’s because of carpetbagging frauds like King that the GOP has a majority. There is no conservative majority in Congress. Never has been.

King is a member of the Uniparty.
He, and his ilk, are the problem.
Unlike Cruz, he is NOT one of us.

I’m sick of hearing that Obama will just veto legislation he doesn’t like. Its not the job of republicans to worry about whether Obama vetoes something.

Exactly. I don't remember them sending out campaign fliers in '10, '12, and '14 saying Obama will veto everything so don't bother voting for us.

Total frauds.

Quite true. And as long we don’t call them out we will never have a conservative majority in congress. But times are a changing and the world is splitting into camps. The liberal bastions will not last much longer. The Muzzies are going to destroy them. And with the help of liberals themselves. I don’t know what kind of world will rise from the wastes of the war but I do know they will in the long run make the same mistakes we have. It’s human nature.

Bonehead, dems, and GOPe are playing people for the fools on Bonehead’s resigning.

Bonehead wasn’t forced out by the “right wing crazies” Bonehead is leaving in a scam cooked up between the dems and GOPe to blame Obama’s/GOPe’s failed economy on the “right wing crazies”.

Soon as Bonehead is gone and someone else takes his place you will see the economy go into a tailspin and it wont be reported as Obama’s economy going into a tailspin it will be reported as the “right wing crazies” economy going into a tailspin.

“I mean seriously they basically want to shut the government down over the whole issue of Planned Parenthood,” King said.

It would be like shutting down the German government over the whole issue of the concentration camps.

Gee, I thought the Tea Party was dead!
Remember... the MSM told us so.
It’s nice to see a Marxist with his panties in a wad for a change.
Enjoy this brief respite. I’m sure trouble is on its way.

So where were you, Peter King, when the Barbour machine was running to democrat voters, to vote against a conservative who had the support of conservatives, in a Republican run-off election, in order to get a senile GOPe tool re-elected? Was that treachery in your book, or was that just "GOPe politics as usual"? Do you all in the GOPe think that we conservatives are ever going to forget or forgive one of the dirtiest intra-party elections in Republican history? Because if you do, you're wrong. And from then on, you GOPe types are going to get the same kind of "support" you gave us conservatives.

The problem with Boehner is that he actually didn’t know how to do his job. People criticize him for not getting through a more conservative agenda, but the reality is that he didn’t have the capacity to work out compromises and trade-offs. He thought surrendering to the Dems was negotiation.

“Hijacking” is what the GOPe and the Barbour machine did to Chris McDaniel and conservative voters in Mississippi, when they bribed democrat voters and shamelessly, openly lied about McDaniel to smear him as having ties to the KKK. Choke on your own medicine, Peter King, because it’s war.

I don’t know that he was actually surrendering, Harry Reid couldn’t have done a better job of furthering Hussein’s agenda, and he’s an avowed Democrat.

Isn’t this guy pro-baby murder anyway? If so, naturally it wouldn’t be a big deal to his likes to let a little thing like some baby torture and murder slide, as long as the Chamber of Commerce gets its cheap labor.
