TRUMP: I'm Boycotting Fox News

September 23, 2015

Real-estate tycoon Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he will no longer do interviews on Fox News shows because the network has been treating him "unfairly."

".@FoxNews has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won't be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future," the Republican presidential front-runner wrote on Twitter.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused Trump to announce the boycott, but he has repeatedly feuded with the network in recent days and weeks.

On Monday night and Tuesday morning, Trump released a lengthy tweetstorm attacking hosts Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly, as well as the "Trump haters" they have on their shows.

He called Kelly "the worst" and labeled her show "terrible." He said O'Reilly "was very negative to me in refusing to post the great polls that came out today including NBC."

He also said he had a hard time watching Fox News, while retweeting multiple supporters trashing Fox and calling for a boycott of the network because of its supposed bias against him.

o’Reilly knows very well what happened. You probably do to.

Oh Really refused to share a poll favorable to Trump. In this week where a little affirmation would be expected for the LEADING Republican candidate, one could expect a mention given the coarsening of FOX coverage of Trump.

This little Lucy behavior by Bill O. can be coupled with wearing out the dang door and the carpet to his show, with anti-Trump empty suits and stilettos 24/7, gets old fast and turns into propaganda straight out of the Ailes/GOP playbook for wiping out candidates that don’t tow the line with them.

Grant it, FOX did have its own poll, which came out after the boycott remark by Trump, and perhaps they didn’t want to step on their own poll, but FOX is getting heavy handed with Trump. They are getting some of that back, for a rare change.

I boycotted them ages ago.

While supposedly “conservative”, to me it seems that they just promote the “conservative view” that is most acceptable to the leftist power structure.

For example, shilling for Romney and McCain early in the primary process.

It’s kind of prissy, snooty word, but I like petulance. It’s also in the eye of the beholder, whether it exists at all.

There were some occasions when you could say our Founding Fathers were renown for petulance.

Let’s hear it for “petulance”, and more of it.

Rubio is a sweaty little liar. That is why he sweats so much. He sweats because he is usually lying.

His looks under the sweat ain’t all that great. He is like a petulant kiddie who wants to be a big shot.

Amnesty pimp extrordinaire.

We spend quite a lot of time with my 89 year old father. We’re fortunate, his brain and memory are sharp, and he’s a news junkie, so he spends his days watching news channels or sports :) He’s conservative, in fact when recovering from a stroke 10 years ago we knew he had turned a corner when his speech and cognitive therapist asked him the question “Who was the best President?”...to which he quickly replied Reagan...and “Who was the worst?” and he replied Carter (this was pre-Obama, LOL) Yep, we thought, he’s going to be okay.

My husband was quizzing him recently on Presidents of the past. He was born during Coolidge’s term but the first President he remembers is Roosevelt. He went to war during his Presidency, and we enjoyed hearing his take on the demeanor of all the Presidents he’s seen in office during his lifetime.

Of course, he says he’d never believe he’d see a President as “lawless” as Obama, and also as thin skinned.

Then our talk turned to Trump...we discussed if his attitude would be the same toward foreign heads of states, as it is to his fellow candidates, and the “news” personalities. things would get very interesting. He’d be calling Angela Merkel ugly, and other heads of states “stupid” or “idiot.” That’s his persona...it’s his habit, and I don’t think he can change his petulant behavior just because he gets elected to the Presidency.

I think you’re forgetting the beginning of the Obama presidency. You don’t remember a FoxNews shutout?

Seems like I remember something like that. Perhaps others will chime in.

Look, did we or didn’t we say for decades we wanted to give as well as we got, the media bias.

Shouldn’t we back a guy who finally does exactly that?

I’m very happy to.

Now, as for using the term as a candidate, I’m not sure what term you should use. Boycott is as good as any IMO.

Why is it considered negative for one of our candidates to counter the incessant media trashing that they take.

He’s doing it on our behalf. It’s our values he’s pushing.

I love my boycott of FOX.

I call the word “fair”, the definition of Lou Dobbs, on FOX Biz. And he is alone in being fair, when it comes to Trump.

The FOX News hatred for Trump actually trumps their desire for ratings spikes, because they are now covering him at all, only partially, and the rest of the time they are wearing the carpet out with guests that snicker, snot and spew against Trump, around the clock now.

FOX is now plainly a propaganda arm to get Columbo and Jeb into the White House. Trump is in the way.

It’s fun to so something so small as a boycott. It beats just pecking on the keyboard.

Instructive.

We already know Trump is hypersensitive and can’t handle criticism.

Gee, let’s give this guy the nuclear football.

Yes, CNN announced tonight that the Donald will be on in the morning at 7:00 EAstern time. I DVR’d that program.

And, of course, I await breathlessly for Morning Joe to DVR, so I can enjoy it later with my coffee.

As for Rich Lowry, he is one of many who has gone to the GOP cellar this election cycle. Who knows what all they are cooking up down there. LOL!

I have no clue what might have occurred tonight with little Richie. Let me know if you hear. Thx, Rita.

Lou Dobbs just did a hit video on Trump. Said you don’t pick on his boss. Told him to stop repeating, get fresh and stop crap.

What people don’t understand is that if any candidate had every event televised, you would hear same speech over and over. Trump may be most original.

I don’t blame Lou, he’s loyal. He wasn’t as rude as most.

I’m with you. The news addiction to FOX is turning into a re-education camp that is going to come out the other end with Jeb Bush, I can assure you of that.

Thanks for the boycott. There are more than a few engaging across the country, and it is stunning how many Freepers right here, who have dumped FOX for much less than this antiTrump campaign with the GOP, and a long time ago.

(And they think *we’re* cranky. LOL!)
