Yep. Russia has an economy the size of Italy. An economy in recession from sanctions & low oil prices. No chance they can send 100,000 troops to the ME. That’s a day dream that won’t be happening.

Physically, it just wouldn’t work. It requires too much logistical effort. Plus their troops aren’t known for their discipline.

How big was their economy when they raised millions and millions of troops to conquer Eastern Europe from the Nazis?

When Russia sends troops into other countries they don't contract with Halliburton to provide the chow.

We spend an extraordinary amount per soldier compared to other nations. For training, for equipment, for pay, and for creature comforts that poorer nations simply don't. Don't mistake that with the ability to send soldiers from A to B.

I agree. I think they might have misplaced a decimal point. Unless Assad has an S-Load of fuel, MREs, and porta potties.
