Julianne Thompson and Rachel Little Join Previously Announced Louie Hunter To Bolster Cruz’s GA Campaign
HOUSTON, Texas — Today, the Cruz for President campaign announced that two key leaders in Georgia would be joining the Cruz campaign after being previously allied with Governor Scott Walker. The addition of Julianne Thompson and Rachel Little, along with Louie Hunter who previously announced his support for Cruz, means that all three of Walkers former state co-chairs will now be helping to organize the state for Cruz.
Thompson is one of Georgias most active Republican leaders. She is the former co-chairman of the Atlanta Tea Party and co-founder of the Capitol Coalition of Conservative Leaders, Georgias largest political coalition, and a former press secretary of the Georgia Republican Party.
Little is the immediate past Chairman of the Gwinnett County Republican Party and recently received the Georgia Republican Party Chairman of the Year Award. She was recognized as the Woman of the Year by the Conservative Republican Women of North Atlanta and served as Mitt Romney and Herman Cains Georgia state co-chair in 2012.
Louie Hunter is a former Cobb County Commissioner and the Director of the Georgia Center-Right Coalition.
We are encouraged and excited to see the caliber of support flowing to the Cruz campaign, said Cruz national political director Mark Campbell. Its evidence that Cruzs record of being the only consistent conservative in the race is having a significant impact on the grassroots. Julianne, Rachel and Louies experience, knowledge, and network will give our team a sizeable advantage in Georgia and we are thrilled to have them on board.

I don’t know if Cruz should do that.
Cruz is running the marathon.
Good for Cruz!!! At least Snarly Carly and Jebby didn’t get them!!!
Walker’s people are losers. They obviously were not doing a good job for their candidate. Let them collect unemployment.
DAMMIT. Big BIG mistake.
I agree....I hope these people were vetted...completely!
Keep them supervised and away for the gopee operation
I don’t mind the state and local chair people. It’s the DC and NY-based professional consultants and advisers who are the trouble.
Losers? In what way?
It’s not their fault Walker ran outta money and could not run a campaign.
Catch the season highlight episode of The Walking Dead!
"Cruz Walkers" to premier next month.
Maybe all three Walker supporters will go to Cruz, as well.
They will go native. This is a massive blunder. You do not put losing brass in charge of your team. Hell you don’t let the enemy inside the wire for God sakes.
No logic here by Cruz. None.
That just goes to show ya...The GOPe has infiltrated the Tea Party...Or set up a phony Tea Party...
By Cruz picking them up, it creates a signal to Walker supporters in Georgia that those who supported Walker at a high level in the State now support Cruz.
It signals undecided voters that when Walker dropped, Cruz picked up support, ergo Cruz gained by Walker dropping. This causes more people to take a look at Cruz and see what he is about.
Even picking up a point or two in Georgia can create a lift for the overall polling situation and keep Cruz in the top four or five for the next several weeks. We will likely see more drop out in the next month, and if Cruz can pick up a couple of points from each, he sets himself to be the “not-Trump” that people seem desperate for from so many angles.
He ran out of charisma and was wobbly on all the issues.
I dont know if Cruz should do that.

Why?
Many of those people are just that, campaign workers from election cycle to cycle.
I don’t know about these but if they know their business and will apply it to the
Cruz campaign then I don’t see how it hurts him. In fact if he’s not covering the
state well then it should help him.
