Trump should rent an arena nearby and give a rally at the same time as the debate.

Maybe second only to Berkley, California.

Interesting simile.

This is how the GOPe figures they will manage the primary in tandem with their buddies in the left wing media.

Glad CNBC would never ever try to make R’s look bad.
I mean, if they did, what would they do? I’d find one of the most left wing places in the US - say the People’s Republic of Boulder, and then book a huge place but only let 10% of the seats be filled - that way, they can let the empty stadium paint the picture they want, R’s are unpopular, and the ones there, will not applaud but boo the R’s. Then add a left wing “moderator” to inject cut off, chide, ask silly irrelevant questions and mock the R’s.
Oh wait..... so just would CNBC do different, if, say, they really did want to make the R’s look back?

It goes to show how the GOP still does not get it. The GOP gets it they just don't like it. They have to hope the voter doesn't ever get it.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. A huge venue, but less than 10% of the seats made available for an audience.
Talk about manipulating the optics of the event!
