Democratic Socialism. The politboro meets, and votes (democratically) how many loaves of bread the average grunt gets in a year.

Oh but the people commenting at WaPo are enthusiastic over the Sanders.
They seem to believe that government will no longer be “the hammer of the ruling class” after his plans are all implemented.

Whether or not it works in Denmark is a separate issue. But let’s pretend that it does work in Denmark. Denmark is a very small (<6M people), quite homogenous (88% Danish origin) society. The US is as different from that as can be. There is no reason to believe that a system that works in Denmark can be transplanted to the US and work. To state it bluntly: Newark, Baltimore, St Louis, etc ain’t gon’ be playing nice.

We have that now. So why elect him? Is his brand of socialism more benevolent? He says health care is a right, education is a right, food and shelter is a right. Where do the rights stop? Do I have a right to a car? Great! I’ll take a Ferrari.

Bernie is a liar. He’s not a socialist, he’s an anti-capitalist. If the media, and anyone else who gives a damn was being honest, we’d call him a collectivist. If he had his way, we’d absolutely be pursuing a communist system at 100 mph.

Socialism can be made to work in small homogeneous nations where all, or almost all, regard themselves as members of a large extended family.
That’s not the USA.
