But what else do you have? … An effort to make sure that all people benefit from the wealth that’s being created. So you have a much more equitable distribution of wealth and income. … I talked to a guy from Denmark, and he said, ‘In Denmark, it is very hard to become very, very rich, but it’s pretty hard to be very, very poor.’ And that makes a lot of sense to me.”

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” sounds really fair, to a twelve year old. But someday you learn that some faceless bureaucrat gets to decide what you need, and what your ability is.
Look at the mess Sweden was before the reforms. Norway only somewhat works because of the oil money.
Doesn't matter anyway, because none of these places is homogeneous anymore and growing less by the day. Literally.
Well, with the IRS and EPA we pretty much have that today - so which parts of the Federal leviathan is Bernie planning to trim away, so that government no longer ruthlessly stomps on small business? :)
