Obama Muslim Controversy: Donald Trump rips Obama / Media on Twitter
Twitter ^

Posted on 09/19/2015 9:39:47 AM PDT by springwater13

Christians need support in our country (and around the world), their religious liberty is at stake! Obama has been horrible, I will be great

If I would have challenged the man, the media would have accused me of interfering with that man's right of free speech. A no win situation!

If someone made a nasty or controversial statement about me to the president, do you really think he would come to my rescue? No chance!

This is the first time in my life that I have caused controversy by NOT saying something.

Am I morally obligated to defend the president every time somebody says something bad or controversial about him? I don't think so!

When Obama was running I doubt if he would have defended Bush from any slurs that were tossed out about him.

Obama is still blaming Bush for his own failures.

You asked who else was addressing your issue. I told you. I added that Cruz does not support government theft of private property. Do you agree or not that my reply and assertion are factual?

PS: Whether you have or have not mocked Cruz is irrelevant. You have certainly mocked others so you are a hypocrite. Pretty basic stuff here Harry.

2. Btw jwals, who the hell else has stood up to the podium and told America WFT is really going on and that our country is literally being eaten alive and is dying at the hands of corrupt government? Which one is that Mr. jawl?

You've been pushing that line all day. We're not buying.

Your list betrays a level of naïveté that is unusual in a conservative.

Fiorina is a GOPe plant. She is very liberal. Go back and read her positions when she was running for governor. I couldn't support her in the primary, and it wasn't easy in the general election. Not to mention that her executive experience is as an affirmative action hire who wasn't qualified and who screwed up the opportunities she had. Her purchase of Compaq killed HP.

She is only in the race to help Jeb, and hopes for a VP slot if she is needed in a race against Hillary. If she is passed over, she'll take a cabinet position.

Carson is a good man, but he is not solid on immigration, the threshold issue in this election. Without a serious effort on illegal aliens, Republicans and America are done. Take a look at the California legislature. That would be Congress in less than 10 years. Even if he was perfect on the issues, and he is not, there is no way he is going to get enough traction to win the nomination, especially with the rules set up the way they are. He does not have the money, the organization and the personality, to overcome the GOPe that would be arrayed against him if Trump went away and Carson magically became the front runner.

I would not mind seeing him as a VP choice, but I like Cruz more for that role.

As for Cruz, he is my favorite candidate, but he was going nowhere, and wasn't going to gain enough traction to overtake the GOPe roadmap for Bush. He just doesn't have the star power. He is young, and if he is nominated as VP, that would be fantastic. He could be great at strategizing for Trump, and educating him on the conservative philosophy that Trump is not well-grounded on. 8 years from now, Cruz would be well positioned to be the candidate, and he could pick up from where Trump left off. If Trump does things to make us mad during those 8 years, he would still have saved the country from the uniparty, and give Cruz a chance to implement a 100 percent conservative agenda. Right now, that is precluded by the media dominance of the conversation, the schools that have maleducated two generations, and by the greed and corruption of half of the people that should know better, the educated and the productive.

If you like Cruz, you will support Trump. If you like Carly, you are a knucklehead. If you like Carson, you are deluded.

As I just posted in two other threads, including the one quoting the media poseurs Matthews & Maher:

Yes, to be very clear. Donald Trump handled the questions that have Chris & Bill so excited, precisely in the most statesman like manner It was a splendid moment for Trump, if one fully understands the context. pBut before going into that, let me make it very clear. I am not anti-Muslim. I do not favor large scale immigration from the Near East, for the same reason that I do not favor large scale immigration from most places. We do not need new settlers; we do not need cultural diversity. But that is not directed against Islam. Yet none of that has really anything material to do with the subject of what happened at the Town Meeting.

Trump's approach was not bigoted; not in the slightest. The article shows who was bigoted, and it is those "politically correct" crack-pots, who believe other people have a duty to stifle any thought with which those "politically correct" crackpots do not agree. (The defined category includes Hillary Clinton, and quite a few confused babblers, of which Matthews & Maher are perhaps among the grossest examples.)

Stifling free expression is not the duty of a candidate; it is not the moral duty of anyone. It is, to be sure, the essence of the "politically correct" crackpot! And Donald has already, clearly distanced himself from the "politically correct" crackpots. In that, he is truly a breath of fresh air.

Now Islam is not the issue, in dealing with this thread. Obama's upbringing, and ideological orientation, and the bases for all of that, are continuing issues, whether Matthews & Maher want to gobble something otherwise or not. And many Americans are not convinced that Obama was actually born here. Just who are Matthews & Maher to say that no one should be permitted to inquire into such subjects?

OK so what will Trump do different? He's already said that Kim Davis should not be working as county clerk if she can't issue the marriage certificates, so that's out. What protections would he provide Christians that Obama hasn't? Say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays" and that's about it?

I wish Trump would turn it back on the media and say, “By the media’s scathing attacks on me, obviously, there’s something wrong with being a Muslim.”

“Trump defend Obama? ‘I don’t think so!’: “Am I morally obligated to defend the president”?”

Sorry, Democrats, Trump is correct. That’s Jeb’s job.
