Donald Trump accused Carly Fiorina of being a terrible businesswoman. Here are the facts

Carly Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, is running for president on her business smarts. She led the company from 1999 to 2005, the first female head of a Fortune 50 firm — and controversies from her high-profile tenure resurfaced Wednesday at the Republican debate.

"Yes, we had to make tough choices," Fiorina said on the prime-time stage, "and in doing so, we saved 80,000 jobs, went on to grow to 160,000 jobs. And now Hewlett-Packard is almost 300,000 jobs. We went from lagging behind to leading in every product category and every market segment."

"The company is a disaster and continues to be a disaster," Donald Trump responded later in the night. "They still haven't recovered. In fact, today, on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, they fired another 25 or 30,000 people saying we still haven't recovered from the catastrophe."

Trump is among a chorus of increasingly vocal Fiorina critics. Before her team could grab the space, a cybersquatter purchased CarlyFiorina.org,

never invest your 401k in your own company. ever.

former Lucent employee whose 401k based on Lucent stock was destroyed while Fiorina was there.

It was after she left. the bandwidth bubble burst. a lot like the AC bubble burst when all the other eastern states opened casinos and that was the end of AC.. Its a problem with any non diversified company. Trump avoided company wide disruptions by isolating the casino business and therefore isolating the restructuring/exit. imho.

She was also sleeping with the boss, that is a big career booster for a female.

Lots of people are "picking" awfully hard for some reason.

I personally favor Cruz, but Carly is trending at the moment.

Trump inherited about $350 million.

Circa 1990 his net worth was around -$150 million.

Today he’s worth billions.

Which other candidates have businesses employing 22,500 plus?

Go back to the forums you were infesting prior to a month ago.

Corporate not personal. Research the difference with corporate bankruptcy with restructuring and personal.

I don’t like his personal attacks on people (Christie’s weight, Carly’s face, etc.) but I am thoroughly enjoying his thumb in the eye style against the system and his bitch slapping of the media.

Something I am a little vague on. When I officially entered the work force I had to start with a visit to the "Personnel Dept." Then I worked and worked and worked for many years, and when I was done, I noticed that the "Personnel Dept." had at some point morphed into the "Dept. of Human Resources", (all across this great land of ours). I am somewhat concerned that HR has already evolved and morphed into something even more evil. Is there any candidate out there who has promised to repeal HR and replace it with the old friendly and familiar Personnel Dept.?

ps I do vaguely recall one day when I was told that I had to take down my girly calendars or any customer could walk in and sue the place. That is when I should have realized that things would never be quite the same again. But, I was too busy working.

“Didn’t he declare bankruptcy a few times?”

It doesn’t matter how many times you declare bankruptcy. It’s how YOU GET UP from bankruptcy which counts.

I’ve had business partners who filed for Chapter 13 twice and later made a profit after living in their cars. Men don’t make excuses.

In 1999, I bought a HP Pavilion desktop computer. It was a waste of money being a complete piece of crap. Never bought another HP product since. Thanks Carly.

No he did not. Our of thousands of companies four times he used the law to reorganize them. These “bankruptcies “ are used as in the auto industry to keep the company running.
Trumps critics are using the lack of business knowledge of American people to further their own agenda

Look up the cooked books at Lucent while she was there. You may have to cross reference with Enron to find the material

I just read a post on my page. It said Univision donated the most money to her—$1.5 million. Is this true?

Yes and her run against Boxer was also funded by them. She also has had connections to Bush/Rove for decades. As well as working with the Clinton Foundation After all she did say If she hadn’t been working for McCane she would be supporting Hillary (not Palin)

Jerry Perenchio, an owner of Univision, was one of the largest contributors to Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman, and is a major backer of Karl Rove’s American Crossroads PAC.

Perenchio, BTW, is Italian, not Hispanic.
