Twenty-nine-year-old Robert Nuttall, of Hutchinson, is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and kidnapping, and 33-year-old Gwen Butcher is charged with second-degree aiding and abetting murder and second-degree aiding and abetting kidnapping in the disappearance and death of Christopher Rossing.
Nuttall punched Rossing in the face a number of times, causing him to fall to the ground, according to the complaint. Butcher told police that Nuttall repeatedly hit him in the head and face with his fists.
A search of Nuttalls cell phone also showed internet searches were made on how to remove or replace seats on a Ford Expedition, according to court documents.
The sheriff's office executed a search warrant at the farm on Oct. 13. Authorities confirm evidence of human remains, including bone fragments and teeth, were found in a fire pit at the home. Authorities also found human remains in a corn field across the street from the home. Those remains were later identified as Rossing's by dental records.
