Was ANY of the GOP candidates last night on the right side of this issue. Though I was listening with only one ear, all seemed to be taking the predictably neocon line that Russia getting muscular in Syria was a terrible thing for American interests.

OK, I’ll see your large number of martyrs, and raise you an even larger number of martyrs, a dozen mosques, and a kaaba.

Let us hope the number of martyrs goes from “large” to “ALL.”

I wonder if Obama will use this as a pretext to send arms and money to aid ISIS fighters. He can always try to sell it as “fighting Putin” rather than backing ISIS.

“Go Russia. Go Assad.”

Words I NEVER thought I would see being cheered by Pro-America Americans.
And yet....

Speaks volumes to the sate of America these days.

I think the group is in the city of Raqqa, ISIS controlled city.

“Russia getting muscular in Syria was a terrible thing for American interests.”

It is...
And it is because of the power Vacuum that Obama and Hillary created. an Obama/ISIS led-Syria is worse for America and the world, than one run by Assad. That is where Obama and the Radical Minions have brought us to.

> Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently said on its Twitter feed

Yeah, I doubt they heard it coming and then it went silent.

Take out the ISIS twitter feed on the next sortie.

I do think it’ll only be a matter of time until we see headlines declaring Russia’s victory and of course, how Putin will be getting major trade concessions from the Middle East.

A more or less secular dictator, no matter how brutal and repressive, is preferable to allowing organizations like ISIS or the Al Nusra (Syrian Al Quaeda) to run loose. The US could have easily gone in, made a deal with Assad, and eliminated ISIS (cutting Russia out of the deal in the process), but instead Putin filled the power vacuum. Instead, Obama made it clear that removing Assad was his first priority, probably because of his sympathies with ISIS and Al Nusra.

“I’ll bet the Russians don’t call them “ISIL” either.”

I believe the rough translation is “evil targets to destroy”.

Always take a secular dictator over an Islamic anything.

Don’t kid yourself. Russia is the Good Guys. We are not.

Russia actually cares about the welfare of Christians in the ancient birthplace of Christianity. They have played that role for centuries.

America, whose ME policy is excessively dominated by Israel (which looks upon its domestic Christians as the Other and a problem) and by American evangelicals who only grudgingly and recently admitted that any Christians live in the area — does not.

“If history is any guide — those are NOT really Syrians flying those planes.”

Well, they are Russian-speaking Syrians. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Haven't seen Harf on TV much recently.

O Admin and SoS must have figured out what an embarrassment she is.

I am not willing to accept Christian genocide as the price tag for American domination is a part of the world where we don’t know our hat from a hole in the ground.
