He appears to have a cast eye, as does Jeb. Little cosmetic crap like that hacksaws away on the impressions made by candidates. FDR couldn't walk, but that was never in the papers; JFK wore really, really ugly glasses, but was rarely photographed wearing them (I've seen exactly one such photo) and there weren't contact lenses then. Yes, there were contact lenses when JFK ran for President. Several of my sorority sisters had them, and that was before JFK. 1956 era.
