Carly Fiorina connects Iran and Planned Parenthood and the crowd loves it

“I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes,” she said, and slowed down to a staccato tempo. “Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.” The crowd went wild as Fiorina said, “If we do not stand up and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us.”

CNN has Trump in the “unclear” category of Winners/Losers

But then, CNN claimed Ted Cruz’s comments about Planned Parenthood (selling baby parts is a crime) were “FALSE”. Which is a lie.

Although, it was good that she said it, I still don’t see the connection. It was contrived to get one of her well rehearsed performance skits out. She did the same with her lady liberty and justice skit.

That said, we do need to talk about the lack of forcing Obama to put his name on Vetoes. Only 4 so far, and 2 were before the so called Republican take over of the Senate.

He has said he never would have signed any agreement with Iran without getting the four American out of there first.

Ah, but according to Hostage, it doesn't matter what people say, only what they do. According to that logic, we should not pay attention to what any candidate says, only look at what they have done in the past. But whenever anyone starts to discuss Trump's history of supporting Dems and liberal positions, we are told we should not look at that, but listen to what he says now...

Sometimes I think Trump supporters are the definition of cognitive dissonance.

Consumate business person, right?

All we have to do is start exporting energy and hold a BBL of oil to less than $60 and Russia will fold. We have all the cards on both Iran and Russia.

What does she want to do? Send the military into the Balkans and do massive military exercises?

Are you sure about that Carly? You are supposed to know what you are doing business wise. You think the middle class is going to be OK sending US troops into the Balkans (where in the Balkans again) to provoke the Russians, whose supply lines measure in the tens of miles compared to our 1000s of miles?

Trump was right last night about Rand Paul. He should go to the kiddie table, and Jindal should be promoted, and the rest of the kiddie table should fold.

Kasich blew himself up last night by worrying about what the French and Germans would say about blowing up the Iran deal. It’s clear there are no adults in either of those countries, and the presiding adult just got canned in Australia. Cameron has to be worried.

The US government is taking the US away from middle class citizens and handing to people that hate us. The republicans help them do it. Henninger wonders why we are pissed.

I am not a fan of Carly. I did not like her when she was running HP. I was a client of Lucent back in the day, and generally, they sucked. Again, that was when she was there.

I thought she sounded too scripted. Clearly she practiced. And practiced. And timed her responses.

That is to be expected. I guess I would have been more impressed with a little less polish, and little more from the heart and off the cuff.

Finally, and this is a very personal issue: I always raise an eyebrow when someone loses a child to drug abuse. I know I need to be empathetic. But in my experience raising two kids in an affluent community rife with cocaine and heroin abuse. The children that we’ve lost over the past five or six year that I’ve personally known (my kids are 22 and 25 and I was very involved at the high school when they were there—so I knew a lot of their peers) have come from families where the parents were generally not involved.

I know there are exceptions to every stereo-type. But it raises a red flag for me. It is possible to be wealthy in America with kids who don’t die of drug abuse and who are contributing members of society.

She lost the Senate race to Barbara Boxer.

Straw man. As a California resident, I can tell you that no GOP candidate was going to beat Boxer that year. And Carly got more votes than any other GOP statewide candidate in California that year.

She did have a chance in a place where logic doesn’t rule. It is too bad she couldn’t knock boxer off.

But she lost. Maybe she shouldn’t have taken the race on if it was never in play. Isn’t that also part of a leader’s decision making process?

I don’t have one handy, but I’m sure by now it’s an easy Google.

RE: She lost the Senate race to Barbara Boxer

OK, which of the 16 Republican candidates can beat Boxer for the Senate in California if he/she ran there?

I think no one can. California is a lost cause. The state hasn’t had a Republican Senator for 25 years and the ENTIRE State’s legislature AND executive branch is TOTALY controlled by Democrats.

She did well no doubt about it. Next polling will bring her up and IMHO, Bush down even more.

She conflated videos.

Firorina: “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”

Everything in that sentence she said was true. The video I posted has a fully formed fetus with a beating heart and legs kicking while the woman in the video is talking about how PP workers were wanting to harvest brains.

The only thing conflated was the impression that the brain harvesters were talking about and over that specific baby in the video.

“The only thing conflated was the impression that the brain harvesters were talking about and over that specific baby in the video.”

That’s the problem. She misrepresented the footage, and that is not helpful.

I don’t know who the Grantham whatever is, but it’s not a still image. The baby was still moving when it was recorded on video.

While Fiorina was not technically correct, it’s difficult to be pedantic and hold the audience’s attention at the same time.

The video in question has an eyewitness whose testimony on camera exactly matches what Fiorina said.

“for some reason, she seems a little snobby and unlikeable to me.”

I’m thinking put her up against Hillary and as far as personality, Hillary would be the warm one.
